"Mommy?" I asked going into her room
"Yes dear"
"How was chemotherapy?" I asked sitting next to her bed
"It was okay"
"Did you make any friends?"
"I was at the hospital Onika not at the club"
"Oh so did you meet any cute old men?"
"Child stop playin' with me I'm old I don't need a man"
"Okay okay I was just asking"
"How are you feeling?"
"I'm okay mom I'm just worried about you"
"No need to worry about me I'll be fine just worry about you and your husband"
"Nah, what do you want for breakfast?"
"Cereal" she said dryly
"Only?"
"Yeah"
"You don't want bacon, eggs or sausage?"
"No"
"Are you on a diet?"
"No I just don't have that much of an appetite"
"Okay I will make you cereal and put in some fruits"

"Mommy you gotta eat, if you want an old cute man you gotta eat and be fit"

"Okay, blind date it is then" I said going to the kitchen making breakfast for her
Meek came in from the garage with sweats only he came to me and kissed me
"Why walking around my kitchen half naked?" I said trying to act mad
"I was just showing you that ya man still is sexy" he smirked
"Well you don't look bad" I said eyeing him
"Hater, so what you making for breakfast?" He asked
"I'm making cereal"
"Damn the love really died didn't it?" He asked kissing his teeth
"No I'm making cereal for my mom since she doesn't have much of an appetite"
"Oh so this mean you gon' cook something good for ya husband right?" He grabbed me by my waist and pulled me closer to him
"Husband I'm also gonna make cereal for you" I said removing his hands from my waist
"I'll eat whatever I get"
