Meek POV
I just put Faith to sleep I have been trying to get ahold of Nicki but she's ignoring my calls I know I haven't done anything wrong cause the last time I saw her she was all over me
Leah walked in
"Oh that was quick" she said
"What?"
"Putting Faith to sleep, that was really quick" she said
"Well she loves me the most and she knows I'm here to protect her" I said
"I don't think so" she said
"You should ask her when she wakes up, all babygirls love their fathers more than their mothers" I said
She smiled
"Thank you for being here Meek, it really means a lot" she said
"She's my daughter I wasn't finna abandon her" I said
"So I have been thinking" she said
Oh oh here's comes trouble nothing good comes out of a woman's mouth after she has said those words
"Thinking about?"
"I was thinking that I need to go back to school" she said
"College?" I asked
"No high school" she said
"Yeah I dropped out during my senior year" she said
"Okay so you gon' be attending night school?"
"Yeah I just need to get my GED then maybe I can get a decent job" she said
"Okay so when are you gonna start school?" I asked
"Next week"
"That's okay" I said
"So you won't mind looking after Faith for a few hours?" She asked
"No"
"Thank you so much" she hugged me and kissed my cheek
She pulled away
"I'm sorry about that" she said
"It's okay" I said
"Thank you Meek, you're the best" she said
I nodded
She walked out she was so freakin' happy I hope she doesn't break anything
-
I pulled up to Nicki's house her car was parked in the driveway I took out the flowers and box of chocolates that I bought for her I knocked on the door and Mrs Carol opened the door for me
"Hey son"
"Hey ma, is Nicki home?" I asked
"Yes, she's in her bedroom" she said
"Oh thank you" I said walking to her room
"She gon' have diarrhea" I heard her say
I knocked on Nicki's bedroom door and she didn't answer
"Nicki?" I opened the door
She was laying on the bed with her head buried under the pillow
"Are you okay?" I asked
She looked at me with tears streaming down her face
"Baby what's wrong?" I asked putting the flowers and chocolates on one of the chairs
