I woke up a little bit early today cause I wanted to make breakfast for Nicki something sweet and romantic for my wife just to show her that I appreciate her I decided to make flapjacks with a touch of honey and some strawberries to get her in the mood I googled the recipe to make flapjacks I took out the ingredients and started mixing after that I poured it in a pan after that I washed the strawberries and cut them in half I went to the pantry and looked for honey till I remember that I left the flapjacks on the stove in ran out and they were burnt they were black as shit
"Mannn" I kissed my teeth
Maybe she gon have to eat strawberries only my mom came down the stairs rushing
"Are you tryna burn the house?" She asked with a weird look on her face
"Nah I was tryna make breakfast" I said throwing the burnt flapjacks away
"You can't make flapjacks? Boy you sure you my child?"
"Well last time I checked you said I came out of your privacy, so yeah" I said
"Whatever child, why you even cooking?" She asked sitting down
"I'm tryna make something special for Nicki"
"Something special or you tryna kill the poor child?"
"Are you gonna help me or not?"
"I'll help you only because it's for Nicki"

"So how was shopping yesterday?" She asked mixing the ingredients
"It was great I actually enjoyed it"
"Did y'all buy anything for us?" She asked
"No it was all about Nicki not y'all" I mugged her
Boy whatever, you gotta order breakfast for me and Nicki's mom and don't forget that she has to go to chemotherapy "

"Now here are your flapjacks and I'll be sending you my bank details"

"I'll text y'all when I'm done"
"Are you sure?" I asked

"Now call us if you need anything Mrs Maraj" I said as I parked the car

"Do you want me to walk you inside mommy?" Nicki asked
"No I'm fine you two need to stop worrying" she said getting out of the car
"Bye momma, show them whose boss" Nicki said rolling down the window

"What do you think we should do today?"
"Anything that you want" I said shrugging my shoulders
"I have like 5 days before I go back to work" she groaned
"How about swimming?" I suggested
"At my height I'm gonna swim with the kids"
