Twenty-Four

Jisoo's POV

I hadn't seen Chaeyoung in almost two weeks. She had canceled her classes so I never got the chance to ask her out again. I heard that she was finally back from wherever the hell she was so I decided to go to her office.

I knocked on the door. "Come in." I heard from the other side. I walked in and closed the door behind me.

"Hey, long time no see." I said to her and she look up at me then back down to her work. When she look up at me, I caught a glimpse of her face and she look like she had went through a car wreck emotionally.

She took a deep breath before she spoke to me. "What can I do for you Ms. Kim?" She said a little cold with her head still down looking at her papers.

I moved closer to her desk before speaking. "Are you ok? You've been missing for awhile and I was kinda missing you." She put her pen down and looked me in my eyes.

She looked at me if she was pissed at me. "Did you know?" I was confused by her question.

"Did I know what?" I asked her back and waited for her to answer, but instead of answering she got up from her desk and stood face to face with me.

She took another deep breath. "Did you know that your little slut of a sister is sleeping with my wife... well soon to be ex-wife." I was completely shocked by her statement. My little sister and her wife? No way.

"I truly do not know what you're talking about, I had no idea." She walked away from me and went back to her desk. "Yeah well according to my asshole ex they have been seeing each other for four months."

I was taken aback by this information and had to sit down for a second, so I sat in the chair in front of her desk. "I'm so sorry Chaeng, I really didn't know about this." I paused for a second "That explains why Jennie has been so distant and closed off lately." I noticed that the mention of Jennie's name made Chaeyoung cringe.

She started packing up her bag to leave. "I have to leave, Leo is going to stay in Busan with that asshole so I have to go pack his bag." She finished and we walked out of her office.

Before she could walk away from me I grabbed her wrist so she could look at me. "I really hope that this whole thing won't get in the way of us, because I really care about you and had no Idea about it all."

She got her wrist from my hold. "I have to go." And she left.

Driving home I was so pissed at my sister, like how could she do that? I pulled into the driveway and walked into the house. I found my mom in the kitchen and asked her if Jennie was home, she told she was in my room and I stormed up the steps. I didn't bother knocking and just went in.

"WHAT THE HELL RUBY JANE!?" I yelled at her slamming the door behind me causing her to jump.

"Jesus Christ Jisoo! What is wrong with you? You just gave me a heart attack." She said holding her chest.

"Are you fucking insane Jennie?" She looked at me confused. "Why in the world would you sleep with a married woman?"

She had a look of shock on her face. "Who told you that?" Her voice was a little shaky.

I stepped closer to her. "It doesn't matter who told, all that matters is you are sleeping with someone's wife."

She rolled her eyes and continued what she was doing before and I walked in. "Look, I didn't plan on this to happen, it just happened." She stopped folding her shirt and took a breath. "I didn't plan on falling in love with her, it just happened. And she loves me too. Do I regret how this happened? Yes. Do I regret that it happened? No. I love her and she loves me and that's it."

She continued folding her clothes and then started to place them in a duffle bag. "Where are you going?" I asked her when she zipped the bag and put it over her shoulder.

She pulled out her phone and texted someone, probably Lisa, and slid it back into her pocket. "I'm going to Busan for the weekend with her, now if you would excuse me she is waiting for me." She walked passed me and walked out her bedroom, I followed after her down the stairs.

"You are definitely not going anywhere with her again. She can't be trusted Jennie, she cheated on her wife, what makes you so sure she won't do the same to you?" 

She stopped reaching for the door handle. "I can handle myself, so don't worry about it."

She opened the door and started to walk towards Lisa's car. "Does mom know where you're going?" She turned and looked at me.

"I'm 18 and going to college very soon, she doesn't need to know everything. Also you should be happy, you finally have a chance with the so-called love of your life." She got in the car and Lisa drove away. 

I really don't understand what the hell just happened.
