It was the night of the ball. Elsa took a deep breath and looked in the mirror. She wore a simple blue dress, light makeup, and put her hair down for once. She didn't care much about her appearance these days. She had other things to worry about. Taking a deep breath, she headed out the door and to the room of Krista and Helena. She opened the door and saw the two girls playing on the floor with their dolls. Elsa smiled before entering the room.

"Are you two alright?", she asks and they looked up at her and smiled with a yes.

"Look Auntie Elsa!", Krista says showing her the doll. They had cut the hair rather too short and Elsa stifled a laugh. "We cut her hair."

"It looks...beautiful", Elsa says before turning to Helena who smiled at her. "How are you Helena?"

"I'm alright", she smiles but in her eyes Elsa could see she was sad.

"Helena, what's wrong?", Elsa asks her worriedly.

"I miss my papa...", she says and Elsa felt her heart wrench in her chest. "When will I be able to see him again?"

Her heart ached in her chest. She can't blame the child for looking for her father. She didn't know how she was going to break to her that her father was a criminal and that if ever he were to be sent back to the Southern Isles, she would never be able to see him again.

Speaking of, she still needed to make a decision. She couldn't decide. It was extremely difficult for her. Send Hans back or let him go? A part of her knows he's a criminal but still...he saved her life yes despite the attempted murder years ago and that he saved countless lives and even helped Arendelle but....

She let out an exasperated sigh before looking to Helena. She couldn't do this to the little girl...she couldn't separate a girl from her father. And so...Elsa has finally decided.

Hans would not be sent to the Southern Isles. His brothers would not know that he was ever in Arendelle. She was only doing this for the sake of Helena and not for Hans. Although she has grown to love Helena over the month, she thought of what's best for Helena and although she may never forgive Hans, she can't live with the guilt that she has separated a child from their own father.

John sat in the inn, a journal in his hands as he lazily wrote on the journal, things to do for today. It had been a few days since the ship left and John has just been working in the inn. Rochelle, the innkeeper seems to be fond of him and so was her husband, Hadvar. They treated John well as if they were like his parents.

From time to time John would visit Hans but Hans insist that John not worry about him too much. For now, John has been thinking about what next to do. Should he help with the war? Ask Queen Elsa if there is anything he can do? Or find a job? He's heard that being an ice harvester is the main export of Arendelle, the husband of Princess Anna was an ice harvester at some point before marrying Princess Anna.

As John was writing in his journal, Rochelle approached him and placed a cup of water on his table. John looked up from his journal and smiled before thanking her.

"Drink some water", she smiles. "By the way, if you're not busy. There's a delivery I need picked up. Could you head to the fjord and pick up the delivery?"

"Of course", John smiles before closing his journal and placing it in his pocket. "What's the name of the ship or person I could speak to?"

"His name is Bardo. Look for a medium sized ship with an Imperial flag. I had some supplies shipped from Skyrim", says Rochelle and John nods before standing up to head to the fjord.

He walked out of the inn and headed towards the fjord. He snuck a glance at the castle hoping to see Melody, his new friend but only saw Queen Elsa making preparations for the upcoming ball tonight. So John headed straight to the fjord.

When he arrived at the fjord, he wandered around asking people if he had seen Bardo or an Imperial ship but according to the people, he hasn't arrived just yet. But just as John was about to ask a woman who was selling fish by the market, he saw a familiar looking man step down from a rather large ship.

John froze for a moment when he saw a man who looked similar to Hans. He had the same features as Hans with the chiseled jaw, upturned nose and green eyes but with brown hair. It was almost as if he looked similar to John as well but a lot older. But when John's eyes trailed to the Southern Isle flag on the ship, his eyes widened and his jaw nearly dropped to the floor and that's when John realized...

That Hans was going to be sent back to the Southern Isles and without hesitation or any thought, John ran straight to the castle ward.

Prince Ivar stepped down from the ship. It had been so long since he last stepped foot in Arendelle. Perhaps twelve years ago, back when he planned to marry the then Princess Elsa. He looked around and saw the damage that the ambush has brought upon from the burnt builings to the crater marks to the the half of the fjord blown apart into dust.

Feels good to be back, he thought to himself before taking a step down from the ship. The queen would be shocked to see him. He came unannounced. His brother, King Ivar was upset to hear that the beloved queen had not invited them to the conference so Prince Ivar decided he would surprise Arendelle and pay a visit.

Ivar walked down the fjord with this servants and guards following behind him. The people of Arendelle gave him a shocked look for a moment before quickly scurrying out of his way as Ivar marched cockily to the castle.

He made his way to the courtyard and lo and behold, just as he expected, he saw Queen Elsa standing by courtyard talking to a few of the servants, in preparation for tonight's ball. Ivar smirked to himself before marching to Queen Elsa.

"Queen Elsa", he says and he saw Elsa froze for a moment recognizing the voice. She turned around and her eyes went wide as saucers and she dropped whatever she was holding in her hands. "It's been awhile..."
