Elsa was in the kitchen, stress eating some chocolate while pacing around and thinking of ways on how to apologize and break the whole story to her husband. Her first plan is to give him a day or two before approaching him and saying she's sorry or laying out all the cards for him, telling him the entire truth behind her and Hans.

She groaned thinking about her stupidities in the past. What was she thinking! Not telling him and also falling in love with Hans! Ugh, she was so naive back then and now, she's consumed by her own embarrassment and fear!

Elsa closed her eyes remembering those days with Hans. She hates that she fell for him. He was just so charming, so charismatic, and he was...her ideal guy. He was sweet, affectionate, authoritative, and hilarious. She can see why Anna fell for him too and also why dozens of other women too.

She couldn't forget that day however...when she was locked up in the Arendellian prison, her hands were in chains while the blizzard slowly destroyed Arendelle all because of her.

"No...what have I done...", Elsa cried to herself the moment she got up from the stone-cold bed. She tried to pull herself free but the chains tied her hands down, preventing her from moving.

Arendelle was frozen, her people were in danger because of her. This is all her fault, she thought to herself.

The door suddenly creaked open. She whirled around and her heart stopped for a moment she saw Hans standing there with a lamp in his hands. She wasn't going to let him affect her, she thought to herself before putting up her guard.

"Why did you bring me here?", Elsa demanded.

"I couldn't just let them kill you...", he says, his eyes were worried, sad even but he tried to mask it.

"But I'm a danger", Elsa explains to him and Hans hitches a breath. "Get Anna!"

"Anna has not returned...", Hans tells her and Elsa gasps for a moment before turning to the window. "If you would just stop the winter and bring back Arendelle...please..."

"Don't you see?", Elsa says helplessly showing him her chained hands. "I can't!"

Hans paused for a moment. Elsa saw it in his eyes. He was worried about her but still she saw the anger and frustration in him though his pride would never let him mention it. "I'll see what I can do...", he tells her before leaving.

Elsa pants, feeling totally and completely helpless worrying about her sister. She was a danger to Arendelle and her people. She has let everyone down...including Hans.

Elsa felt her heart ache thinking about that moment. It was like they wanted to say more to each other but didn't...Elsa wanted to question him why, why was he here and why did he try to woe her sister. What was he trying to do....until that very moment when Hans was close to cutting her head off.

"Elsa?"

A small, concerned voice drew her from her thoughts. She turned to the entrance of the kitchen to see a worried Anna standing by there.

"A-Anna", Elsa says before placing the chocolate away. "You're awake."

"Yeah, I overheard you and Frederic had a fight...figured you'd be down here", Anna says walking towards her. "Are you alright? What happened?"

Elsa sighed, leaning against the kitchen counter. "Uh....", she trails off. She didn't know how to tell her sister the past between her and Hans, right before The Great Thaw. She's hidden it for years and has been running away from it. She was a coward. She knew that...

But how can she hide it any longer? It's been ten years. It would be wrong of Elsa to keep her in the dark again. "Anna...", Elsa begins, facing her sister. "I need to tell you something...don't get mad, don't hate me, and I take full responsibility for my actions. I was young and stupid at the time."

Anna furrows her eyebrows worried by her sister's words. "Elsa, you're scaring me."

Elsa took a deep breath. "Three years before the Great Thaw, I was supposed to marry Prince Ivar, Hans's brother."

"W-what?!", Anna gasps dramatically, almost too loudly. "Sorry, sorry, but what?! Why?! Why and how?!"

"Three years ago, look, after mama and papa died, I didn't know what to do. I needed to make an alliance according to Captain Nicolas and so he helped me find a suitable prince", Elsa explains to her flabbergasted sister. "And so Prince Ivar was the best candidate but the marriage didn't push through because we barely knew each other...and because of Hans."

"Hans?", Anna gasps again. She was shocked to suddenly hear all of this ten years later. "Hans? What? What does he have to do with this?"

"He tagged along with Prince Ivar", Elsa continued. "I couldn't get along with Ivar but I got along with Hans...and one thing led to another, and before I knew it, I was starting to fall for him."

Anna could not believe her ears. Her eyes were wide as saucers and her jaw was nearly to the ground. "Elsa...why didn't you tell me this? It's been ten years."

"I know! I was so scared! I was afraid of how you would react and what you would think of me...", Elsa says while trying wipe her tears of frustration. "I'm sorry..."

"Elsa...", Anna sighs before placing a hand on her sister's cheek. "You are still my sister and nothing will ever change how I view you. You still are the same amazing queen and soon to be mother I know...."

Elsa looked up at her sister before smiling at her. "Thank you...this is why Frederic and I fought. I didn't tell him about this..."

"You should've", Anna tells her and Elsa nods in agreement. "Is this why you told me not to marry a man I just met? Was it because of your past with Hans and Ivar?"

Elsa nodded before facing the ground. "I was shocked he even had the audacity to do that..."

"He is an ass", Anna reminds Elsa and Elsa sighs knowing it's true.

"I just want to apologize to Frederic and hope everything goes back to normal...", Elsa tells her sister and Anna sighs giving her a hug.

"I know...", Anna nods before pulling away. "Can I ask you something?"

"Of course", Elsa says nodding her head.

"Do you love Frederic?", Anna asks her and Elsa already knew the answer to this.

Elsa smiles proudly before nodding her head once again. "Yes..."
