Weird title... I know. It'll make sense though, eventually.

It was your first day at the dragon sanctuary in Romania. You had passed your NEWTs in Care of Magical Creatures with flying colours, and you were ecstatic that you got the opportunity to work with these creatures.

When you got there, you were shown your cabin by your boss, Mr. Finnson. You had to share it with someone named Charlie Weasley, as he was the team's newest addition, besides yourself. You hadn't met him though, as he was working.

Mr. Finnson left you to settle in, and that's what you did... for the next four hours. When seven o'clock rolled around, the door opened and you could hear heavy footsteps. You supposed that it was Charlie, so you went to go meet him.

You saw a young, tall, muscular guy with flaming red hair. But that did not catch your attention first; his stench did. You choked on air, and held your nose.

"Oh my god, you smell like dragon dung!" You gasped, stepping backwards. Charlie's head snapped up, and he saw you. He was obviously very confused, judging by the expression on his face. He blinked at you blankly as you burst into a fit of chuckles.

He took off his boots and set them outside, walking into the cabin. Mr. Finnson had told him a new recruit would be living in the same cabin as him; he just didn't expect this. He didn't expect a girl his age, laughing while pinching her nose, but what could you really expect when working at a dragon sanctuary?

"I'm sorry, you're Charlie Weasley, right?" You asked, your face still red from laughing. He nodded. "I'm y/n l/n, the newbie." You said.

"Right... Well, I'm going to go shower, since I smell like dragon dung apparently." He grinned while saying this, and you chuckled airily as well. Then, he went to shower like he had said, and you sat on the couch, reading a book.

When he had finished, and he no longer stunk of dragon waste, he sat down on the other end of the couch, and you two got to know each other.

Months had passed, and you became close with Charlie. He was impressed by the way you handled the creatures, and rarely ever went back to your cabin with injuries like burns or cuts. Charlie could not say the same for himself, however. He often returned with a few burns and gashes on his arms, and you would heal them for him, the nice person you were.

Soon, you started to have feelings for the redhead. This made you slightly awkward around him, so you avoided him when you could. One day, he tried to confront you about it.

"Y/n why are you ignoring me?" He asked after work.

"Oh, I forgot to feed Norberta!" You made an excuse, and turned around, ready to go back, but Charlie was having none of that.

"I already did it." He said, grabbing you by the shoulders. "Why are you ignoring me?"

"I forgot my gloves!" You tried to get away again but Charlie stopped you once more.

"They're in your coat pocket." You bit your lip in slight frustration, and he found himself looking at your lips. "Stop ignoring me, y/n."

"I- I'm not ignoring you..." Charlie gave you a 'really' look. "Okay... I might be avoiding you."

"Why?!" He asked, exasperatedly. You huffed and shook your head sadly, trying to get out of his grip, but her held your shoulders firmly. Damn him and his strong muscles.

"Because- Because I like you." You sighed, running a hand through your h/c hair nervously. You avoided his eyes.

"I like you too." He started.

"No, Charlie, I like like you. As in, more than a friend." You were still avoiding his eyes, looking at anything but him; the snow covered ground, the cloudy sky, the sun sinking lower and lower in the sky.

"Look at me." You shook your head. "Look at me, y/n." You finally made eye contact with him, a frown on your face.

"I'm sorry. I didn't want to tell you, because I knew you wouldn't feel the same way, I mean-" Your rambling was cut short, however, when your lips were suddenly attached to someone else's - Charlie's.

When you pulled apart he smiled at you.

"If you can't tell, I like like you too, y/n." You chuckled at that. "Don't ignore me again, promise?"

"Okay, I promise." After you said that, he kissed you again. You wrapped your arms around his neck, your fingers finding his ginger hair, his hands placed on your waist. You pulled apart again, and walked, hand in hand, to the cabin you shared.

Eh... it definitely worked better in my head. But okay.
