Hello I'm here with my annual update (:

I legit had to read the last chapter to remember what had happened so I doubt many of you remember so heres a recap of all thats happened so far:

So Sakura has been rebirthed many times and has repeated her life over and over. Because of a mistake by the gods in charge of rebirth she ended up in Madara's head by accident. She became friends with him and the god in charge of rebirth and is currently trying to make sure Madara doesnt become evil again. In the last couple of chapters it has been established and a god named Kago is messing with the human world (specifically with Izuna). More recently in the story, Izuna and Madara's father found out about Madara's friendship with Hashirama and forced him to break it off. However, Madara used Sakura to maintain contact with Hashirama.

Thats it! Enjoy the chapter (:

Nearly 5 months had passed since the fight between Madara and Hashirama and they had done a good job at keeping their continued friendship a secret, even under the scrutiny of their families and clans. Sakura's experience in sneaking in and out of places from her seventh life as an assassin truly came in handy.

Aikena had taken to living outside (due to her ever-growing size) and Izuna had given up on training with Madara again. Against Sakura's advice, Madara had essentially cut off all contact from his father and brother. Although it seemed that Tajima had barely noticed the silent treatment, it was taking a toll on Izuna.

At first, he seemed apologetic, in a slow and sluggish state for weeks. That demeanour slowly melted away, leaving bubbling resentment. He had simply been trying to do what he thought best for Madara. Why was he still being punished? He had long since given up on keeping in touch with Madara.

As for Sakura, she fell into a strange state of self-loathing and she couldn't figure out if it belonged to her or Madara. Or maybe both. Ah, how it brought back memories from her earlier lives.

Even with his friendship with Hashirama mended, the past months had definitely been difficult fo Madara, the main silver linings being the secretive messages passed between him and his friend as well as his new Sharingan.

It was a rainy night when Kin appeared in Madara's head again.

"Sakura. We have a problem."

"What is it this time?" Madara responded in Sakura's place.

"So, uh, basically, Kago's missing." Kin looked to Sakura for her reaction.

"And what, you think he's back in the human world?"

"Yes and I was just wondering if you had seen your brother lately."

Sakura could feel Madara's stomach drop, the cold claws of panic gripping him. "No, I haven't seen him in a while now that you mention it." He rushed out of his room and stormed into his brother's. It was late at night, Izuna should've been at home by then.

Sakura sent out a small pulse for Izuna but felt nothing. She expanded her range and still there was nothing. "Madara he's not here. Not even in the village." Now her own panic was starting to blend with his.

"Mom!" Madara yelled through the house, catching his mom in the living room. "Where's Izuna?"

She looked at him with wide eyes from her spot on the couch. "Is he not in his room?"

"No."

She stood up slowly. "You both went out to train in the morning, I thought you went together and assumed he came back when you did..."

Madara was out of the house in a flash, ignoring his mother's calls behind him.

Kin sighed, "Here we go again..."

Sakura closed her eyes and reached out with her chakra, feeling the familiarity of the situation.

They combed the forest for hours on end, but by the time the moon was high in the sky their hopes had diminished significantly. Kin had left a couple hours before, deciding she would be more useful if she was searching for information about Kago from the other side.

Madara came to a halt and dropped to the ground under a tree, leaning his back against the trunk.

"Madara we should head home. Your mum will think you've gone missing as well."

"But he's still out there somewhere." He spoke aloud, his voice breathy from his exhaustion.

"Maybe he went back home."

Madara shifted, laying down on the cool ground. "We passed by the village many times and every time you told me he wasn't there."

"Well it's out of my range now, maybe he just got back." Madara rolled his eyes. "Remember how you're mom reacted last time? Imagine how she's feeling now. Just go home for the night and leave bright and early in the morning. Tell her you're going out to search for Izuna so she at least knows where you are."

They laid there in silence for a couple minutes for Madara begrudgingly got to his feet and began to walk home.

Just as Sakura suggested, Madara told his mother of his plan, went to bed, and got a couple hours of sleep, thinking about how defined his mum's worry lines now seemed. He woke with the sun and was out of the house before anyone had even stirred.

It wasn't until the sun was high in the sky until he realized he hadn't eaten since the late breakfast he had the day before. His stomach grumbled as he stood on the surface of the river he and Hashirama usually met at in the past. Soon enough a fish cluelessly slithered by only to be caught.

He quickly prepared a fire and cooked the fish while stretching his tired legs.

"What if we split up?"

"What do you mean? You leave my head again?"

"Yeah, won't it be faster that way?"

"I guess. You gotta teach me that sensing thingy though."

"Oh honey, that's going to take a while."

She pushed her remaining charka out towards the image in front of her and couldn't help but allow her lips to be tugged into a lopsided grin as she felt the ground under feet and sun hit her arms and face. She was still wearing the navy flats she had gotten from her trip to the world of gods.

Sakura turned and grinned a wolfish smile at Madara, who returned a quick smile before taking the fish off the fire. "Want some?"

"Oh yes please."
