"Oh peaceful day! Come, shall we go out to the balcony and watch the marvelous clouds as they pass through this summer's day sky?"

The two gave an odd look at their blonde friend. They knew today was her birthday and she was free to do as she wished, but they sure didn't imagine she would act this way.

"Peach, why are you talking like that?" The other blonde in the group, Samus, asked.

"I don't know, it seemed fun, and... Shakespearian," Peach giggled.

"Oh really, so you want your birthday to end like uh... Romeo and Juliet?" The prince, Marth, said.

Peach gasped and slapped his shoulder while Marth just laughed it off.

"You rude brick basket! You'd be the Romeo, then!" Peach said, crossing her arms and leaving a little "hmph!" before walking to the balcony.

"Ew, romance," Samus said.

"You've never been one for it, have you?" Marth asked as the two of them began walking.

"See, the thing is I hate-"

"Wait," Marth raised a finger to Samus' lips when he noticed something.

Samus shot him a glare. "Really, you ask me something and-"

"Shhhhhh!" He pressed his finger harder on her lips. She started to get irritated and resolved to something she knew Marth would hate, and licked his finger. Marth immediately moved his finger away from her lips. Samus just smirked as she walked away, leaving Marth behind trying to furiously wipe his finger on his clothes.

Samus walked up to Peach, who was dreamily staring out the balcony to her kingdom. Her castle was further away from town, it being surrounded by trees to add to the security. But even so, she could still hear the music and the busy toads getting ready for her birthday party. She was finally turning twenty, one more year and she would officially be allowed to do anything as by Mushroom Kingdom law. She could not wait!

"Come on, Peach, we gotta get you ready, the party is starting soon," Samus said.

"But, the sun hasn't set yet," Peach sighed.

"Yeah, because it's three in the afternoon,  and the party is at sunset."

"Well can't we walk around for a bit then?"

"Peach-"

"Please, Sam?"

Surprising as it may sound, Samus was weak to puppy-dog eyes. And when it was Peach, her best friend, and when it was her birthday, she could do nothing more than make her happy.

"Fine, but if we get scolded-"

"Yay! Thanks, Sam!" Peach threw herself at her and gave her a tight hug. Samus simply groaned, but patted her head anyway.

"Blergh, what are we doing?" Marth said as he finally caught up to them.

"Marth, don't burp," Samus said.

"I did not!"

"We're going out!"
