One Night Stand - Unfold

Chapter 16

Almost two weeks nang di kinakausap ni Julie si Elmo since what happened in Maxx’s unit. Lagi naman syang nakakatanggap ng calls, texts, at tweets galing kay Elmo, pero ignore lang lagi. Pinupuntahan din sya sa unit nya at work place nya pero hindi talaga nya pinapansin.

 “What do you want?” tanong ni Sam habang tinitignan ang menu.

“Huh?!” nabalik sa ulirat si Julie “Ahm. Kung ano na lang yung sayo” smile at Sam then binalik yung menu sa waiter.

This whole day is Sam day. Si Sam ang kasama nya magdamag. Actually madalas nya nang kasama ng matagal si Sam ngayon dahil di busy ang company nila ngayon and he’s free.

Pero kahit kasama si Sam si Elmo pa rin ang iniisip nya. She miss him so so much. ‘Kamusta na kaya yun?’ ‘I hope he eat healthy foods kahit wala ako’ ‘ Sana lang di puro sweets kinakain nya’ ‘Saan kaya sya ngayon’

“Babe?”  tanong ni Sam

“Huh?!” sagot ni Julie

“Babe.Kanina ka pa wala sa sarili mo. I called you 3 times already”

“Sorry sorry. May problema kasi sa work” palusot nito.

“What is it?” his face worried.

“Nothing big”

“Ano yun babe? I wanna help” sincere na sabi ni Sam then touch Julie’s hand on top of the table.

Julie smiled “Wala lang talaga. Paranoid lang ako”

“Okay okay” pag agree nya. Wala naman syang makukuhang matinong sagot dito. “So ano na sa next Saturday?”  Niyayaya kasi sya ni Sam to go to EK next Saturday since wala nmn silang trabaho parehas.

“Ay, pang bata nga lang yun eh. Haha”  ayaw talagang pumayag, feeling nya kasi they are too old for that.

“Ano ka ba?! Di kaya, for all ages kaya yun. Sige na babe please, please” nagpacute pa si Sam while saying it. Madalas nang gawin to ng binata since nag work dati kay Julie. And Julie finds him really adorable whenever he does that.

“Tsk! Sam naman, where on our 20’s na kaya. Pang 12 lang yung EK eh. Haha” then placed her both hands on Sam’s cheeks, cupping those. Nanggigigil sya dito. “Cute cute mo”

Lalong sumimagot si Sam, which Julie thinks makes him even cuter “Ganon?!  Eh we’re both young at heart pa naman eh” Hawak sa mga kamay ni Julie na nasa muka nya “Kaya sige na baby?”

Ngumiti lang “Sige tell me, bakit ako dapat pumayag?” sabay taas ng isang kilay “Enumerate please” tinanggal ang kamay sa muka ni Sam then nag tap ng table “Go”

Elmo’s waiting for Julie for almost 2 hours now. Anong oras na wala pa, it’s almost 12 midnight, tinawagan nya na to pero di sinasagot. Nalaman nya pa tuloy kila Maqui na kasama pala si Sam. Badtrip na badtrip si Elmo, feeling nya sya yung dapat kasama ni Julie ngayon.

Despite sa nalaman naghintay pa rin sya, imagining kung ano mangyayari kung magkita sila ni Sam mamaya pag hinatid nya si Julie. He receives a text from Maq. Pinapauwi na sya, di daw uuwi si Julie ngayon. She’ll sleep over at Sam’s place. Lalo namang na badvibes si Elmo.

Alam nya kasing Sam lives alone. Paano kung may gawin yung dalawa? Hindi pwede. Julie should go home na. She can’t spend the night with him. Parang mabibiyak ang utak ni Elmo kaiisip nito, ano bang gagawin nya?

He called Julie again..and again…and again. Ayaw talaga sumagot. So he txt Maq, Ynna and Diva na pauwiin si Julie. He even text Saab, Maxx and his Mom para kumbinsihen na umuwi to, wala syang pakialam kung magmuka syang tanga at gusto nyang umuwi to. But in the end lahat ng kinontact nya pinagsabihan syang buhay ni Julie yun at wag nang maki-alam.

Wala na talaga syang magagawa. So he just sits there, outside Julie’s unit and closes his eyes. Ayaw nyang gumawa na naman ng kalokohan at pagsisisihan ngayong badtrip sya. Like last time when he got an info from Maq na kasama ni Julie si Sam magdamag habang sya naghihintay sa unit nito. He went to a bar, then he woke up in an unfamiliar place with a girl, and they’re both naked.

Nakakatulog na sya, he knows he’s half asleep but he can sense that someone is watching him. He opened his eyes, it was Julie, standing in front of him. Then nagpunta na to sa pinto ng unit at binuksan to, Elmo followed her. Iniwan nyang bukas yung pinto, so he knew na pinapapasok sya nito.

Sobrang nagulat si Julie sa nakita. Alam nyang naghihintay na naman si Elmo dito, but now he looks so miserable. Kahit nakapikit kitang kita mo ang lungkot nito, that’s why she decided to finally communicate with him.

Dumiretsyo sya sa kusina, she knows Elmo’s following her “Coffee? Chocolate? Or milk?” tanong nya dito.

“I miss you” imbis na sagutin ang tanong yun lang ang sinabi nito at lumapit kay Julie. He can now smell her, her sweet scent. Then he wraps his arms around her waist and kissed her shoulder.

Gustong tanggalin ni Julie ang kamay ni Elmo, gusto nyang suwayin to, but she can’t. This feels so right, she feels warm and overwhelm beyond reasons why every time Elmo is doing things like this.

“Elmo” then hinarap nya to. “Can we just talk tomorrow? Pagod na ko” Elmo is still holding her waist. Napansin nyang tumutubo na naman ang bigote nito at mahaba na naman ang bangs “You should shave” habang nakatingin sa bigote nito. “Ang haba na din ng bangs mo” hinawi ang bangs ni Elmo na humaharang sa muka nito, then smile at him “Pagupit ka na”

Nakatingin lang si Elmo kay Julie, wala syang reaksyon sa mga sinabi nito. He felt happy na okay na sila, pero nao-over shadow to ng lungkot nya. He’s sad coz he knows na they are not totally okay. They obviously feel something more than just friendship for each other, and yet, they can’t express it.

His eyes lingered at Julie’s lips. Agad namang kumalas at umalis si Julie nung mapansin to. She is very confused kung ano ang nararamdaman kay Elmo. Kanina lang certain na sya kay Sam, she is happy with him, wala silang problema. Pero ngayon kasi iba na naman, parang kahit pa may problema sila ni Elmo, mararamdaman nya pa rin yung saya. Yung feeling na kahit malungkot sya masaya pa rin sya… sya na magulo.

Elmo grab Julie’s waist again, he hug her from behind, really tight. He closed his eyes, smell and kiss her hair. “Julie” saying her name in his husky voice.

Some how they both know what are each other’s feelings. “Moe” feeling Elmo’s lips on her cheek. She turn her head so that he can kiss her on the lips.

They lips met. Now they’re kissing gently and passionately. It was Julie who initiate to enter her tongue into Elmo’s mouth. Elmo turned Julie to face him so he can totally kiss he, Julie’s hand went to Elmo’s nape and pulled him closer as if afraid that he might let go.

Julie broke their kiss to catch her breath and stared at Elmo’s eyes. She can see that he’s begging for more.  Then she moved her hands onto Elmo’s cheeks and touch his lips with both of her thumb  and smile “Smile na Moe, may kiss na nga eh”

Elmo can’t help but to smile at what she said then pulled her closer to him, nasubsub tuloy sya sa dibdib nito “I miss you so much Julie” he whispered, now hugging her.

“I miss you to Elmo” hugging Elmo back.

“Wag mo nang gagawin yun please”

Julie hugged him tighter “I miss you” she whispered again and kiss Elmo’s chest.

Elmo let go of Julie and intertwined his fingers with her. He walks, going to her room........
