Brook Evans
~*~*~*
I kissed Mother and Father on their cheeks. I then got into the Father had given me when we got to our new home. I started the car and took a breath, slowly driving to school.
I was nervously taking deep breaths as I pulled into an empty spot by a red convertible. I climbed out of the car, grabbed my bag, shut my car door and locked it. I knew everyone was looking at me, but I was used to it. I was used to being stared at due to the fact that I was the priest's daughter. Because my family had money, I was stared at. Because I was somewhat pretty, people stared at me.
A girl with light brown hair, hazel eyes, pale skin, a bright smile, and pretty perfect eyebrows approached me. Beside her was a girl with platinum blond hair, green eyes, pale skin, and a resting bitch face.
"Hi! I'm Jessica Stanley. This is Lauren Mallory. We're on the cheer team here and you so look like someone who belongs on the squad! We have tryouts for the new students every six months, and the next one is tomorrow at lunch. Until then, you can so sit with us!" Hazel Eyes said. I smiled hugely.
"Hey. I'm Brook Evans. I'd love to tryout to be on the squad. But, I don't know if I'll sit with you guys today at lunch. I'm more of a... loner, I guess." I replied happily. She nodded.
"Well, if you want to have a good start as a popular girl, I suggest you sit with us." Lauren said snootily. Her voice was high pitched (do you remember Sugar from YTV when we were kids and her voice could shatter glass? Yeah, that was Lauren's voice).
"Of course." I said curtly, biting my tongue instead of saying something Father would put me in the Closet of Shame for.
The bell rang and I walked away, going to the main office. The lady at the desk smiled, revealing yellow teeth.
"Hello, you must be the priest's girl. Here's your schedule, a map, and your lock and combination. Good luck!" She said quickly. She was obviously busy so I took the things, said my thanks and walked to the locker - it was beside this big guy with dark hair, pale skin, golden eyes, pearly white teeth, and dimples when he spoke or smiled.
I opened the locker and put my stuff away. I could feel Bear Dimples staring at me. I tried not to pay attention to it, but when it felt like he was burning holes into the side of my face, I looked at him strongly.
"Can I help you?" I said with a bit of fierceness in my voice.
"Uh, no. Sorry. I, uh... I'm Emmett Cullen. What's your name?" He said. His voice was deep and smooth.
"Brook Evans." I responded, offering my hand gingerly. He happily took it in his iron-like grip and shook it.
"Pleased to meet you." he grinned.
After that whole conversation was over, I walked to my first period class alone. I had English first and there was only one open spot - beside a girl who had the same eyes as Emmett, same skintone, but was blond.
"Sorry I'm late, I got lost. This school is so big compared to my last one." I said softly. The teacher smiled at me.
"Oh, it's alright. Go take a seat beside Rosalie." The teacher (Miss. Parks) said to me gently. I smiled and nodded. I sat beside the blonde. Rosalie was staring at me, like Emmett was.
"Excuse me, do you have any relation to Emmett Cullen?" I asked her softly as I sat down beside her.
"Yeah, he's my hu- um... boyfriend. How'd you know?" She replied.
"I don't know. You two have similar eyes, And, you seem like his type. Pretty and intelligent." I shrugged simply. She grinned.
"I like you." She said as she grinned.
Alice Cullen
~*~*~*
I sat at our table with my siblings at lunch. We were all sitting there, when Rose and Em came over.
I just thought of the woman I'd been having more visions of since we'd moved back to Forks. Jasper and his mate, Samantha, sat across from me - they were the newer ones of our coven besides Edward and Bella, of course. Samantha had been in the Wars with Jasper with Maria. They had run away with Charlotte and Peter, and eventually found us through word of mouth about forty or so years ago.
Edward and Bella sat together beside me, holding hands and laughing at a joke their daughter said. Renesmee sat beside them with her imprint, Jacob, on her other side with his arm around her. We all sat together, as per usual. Just as we had been for the past twenty years.
"Ali, she's here!" Rose said happily, as she walked over.
"Who?" I asked, confused. Rose grinned, and Em chuckled a bit.
"Your mate! Her name is Brook. The new girl fits the description you gave us perfectly." Rose told me matter-of-factly. I smiled hugely at my sister. Finally, I wouldn't be alone anymore. I remembered the vision I had of her.
She had long dark hair and red eyes, meaning she was a Newborn, and a bright smile that could light up a whole town. She was holding my hand, and resting her head into the crook of my neck. We sat on a cliff, watching the sun go down. Everything was quiet, other than the sweet nothing she and I shared in loving whispers.
"I love you, Ali. I can't believe I get to spend the rest of my life with you." She whispered into my ear. Her voice sent shivers down my spine both in my vision and in reality. Her voice was soft and sweet, it sort of reminded me of a river - cool, soft, and gentle.
"I love you so much more. You sure kept me waiting, Bee." I replied to her with a huge smile. She giggled and kissed me lovingly. Sparks - no, fireworks - went off inside me when we kissed. I couldn't wait to spend the rest of my eternity with her.
In the present, I could see Edward smirking at me. I stuck my tongue out and he rolled his eyes. The rest of our family laughed then, right before the bell for our next classes rang.
