It had been three years since I'd joined the Volturi. Aro had asked me to dinner, just the two of us. I had to admit, he was very attractive. Though he could sometimes be a little... much, he was truly a good man and he cared for his people. So, I agreed to dinner.
I was finishing with my hair when a light knock sounded at my bedroom door. I opened it and there stood the man himself.
"Hello, beautiful." Aro smiled hugely. If I had been human, I'd have been a blushing mess.
"Hello, handsome." I smiled back. He bowed and offered his hand. I grinned and took it. He guided me through the castle.
"Today we have the option between Italian or Chinese." Aro winked. I laughed. I must admit, my years in the Volturi changed me. I had never fed from an innocent before I joined them, but the Kings forced me to feed with them, saying that if I didn't feed with the rest of the guard, I would starve because they wouldn't let me go out to hunt. So, I had to feed with them.
"You know me so well. I love Chinese." I smiled cruelly. He held my hand lightly, guiding me to the dining room. On the table, there were two people. A Chinese girl sat on the table, her hair cut so there was easier access to the neck, and her arms were bound behind her back, her legs tightly bound together. The man was Italian (we could hear him quietly praying in Italian), his hair completely shaved off, and he (like the girl) was bound.
"Oh, Aro! You shouldn't have!" I squealed and hugged Aro. He chuckled deeply in my ear and hugged me tightly. Then, we ate.

Twenty years. Twenty years Brook has been missing. Twenty years since I've seen my family, I had to go try to find her. Twenty years of being lost. Twenty years of misery. I'd finally given up on trying to find her, and had finally decided to go home with my head down and my tail between my legs.
When I arrived home, Rosalie hugged me but Carlisle seemed to hold something behind his back.
"Alice, I want you to know that... what I am about to tell you is in no way a way to force you into seeing people you do not want to see. It was unplanned, and Aro invited myself as well as all of my family. On another note... we found Brook." Carlisle said slowly. I nodded. Bella had been practicing, I couldn't see anyone's future in the house. So, when Carlisle pulled out a wedding invitation, I was surprised. I was even more surprised to see the names of those getting married.

I couldn't breathe. My sweet, beautiful, innocent, funny, gentle soul mate was alive... and she was marrying Aro Volturi. Everything froze around me. I could barely hear or feel anything, so when I heard Edward exclaim that I was going into shock, I didn't move a muscle.
What was I going to do? I had thought that Brook was a lesbian, like myself, so I asked myself some not so helpful questions. Was she using me before? Did she ever even care about me? Did she forget about everything? How could she move on after not even a millennia had passed? How could she be marrying a man if she had liked me? As much as I wanted to let go from the anger I felt, I knew that I would not let my girl go again.
At this thought, I snapped back into reality to see my family surrounding me, and Jasper holding me. My best friend was trying to soothe me, hugging me and pushing out as much relaxation and love as he could. I took a deep breath.
"Looks like we're going to Italy." I said strongly, looking up at my family.
