Alice Cullen
~*~*~*
That night, I snuck into Brook's bedroom. She lay in her bed, breathing and snoring softly. I looked at her, wondering why, searching through the future. But my future with her was blurry, in fact her whole future was blurry. It was simply as if she hadn't made any decisions. Sometimes I saw her and I together, happy. Other times, I'd see her dead in an alleyway. Other times, she was in an abusive relationship with a man, and she'd have somewhere between six and ten children. I didn't want my mate to have either of the latter futures. I wanted her with me, always. I was afraid, confused. Why didn't she want me?
Why end it? Why hurt herself like she was? Why would she hurt me like she was? I could hear her heart around me - she felt strongly for me. I didn't know if it was love or hate, but she definitely had strong feelings for me. So, why would she do this?
I'd seen her cheek. Had someone hurt my angel? I would kill them! Anyone who dares to try to hurt her will pay... greatly.

I woke up in the middle of the night, in a cold sweat. After trying to fall asleep for an hour, I got up, sighing. I changed into some track pants and a hoodie, then I snuck out through my window. I crossed my arms and walked slowly, thinking about the past few days.
I walked slowly around the block three times. The only thing on my mind was none other than my pixie; my Alice. I missed her. God, I missed her. I missed her arms around me, I missed her lips on mine, I missed her laugh, I missed her Tinkerbell-toned voice, I missed that gorgeous smile that she always had on when she was around me... God, I even missed the smell of her. Vanilla. I couldn't smell that scent anymore without crying. Vanilla wasn't even a plant to me anymore, it was a part of her.
As I started to make my forth lap around the block, I felt a sudden gust of wind. There was a dash of black and blonde. I gasped and looked towards it. I heard rustling beside me. So, I turned and ran. I ran as fast and hard as I could. I ran until I was a few feet from... my house. I felt a sharp pain in my neck, and then another sharp pain in both of my shoulders. I couldn't scream, it would alarm people. So, I stumbled into the garage. I closed the door and locked it behind me.
It wasn't until I looked in the car mirror that I saw that I was bitten and bleeding. I was in so much pain, it was unbearable. So unbearable that, for the first time in my life, I fainted.
I was in pain. My body was burning. Everything was burning. I couldn't scream, I couldn't breathe. My chest was tight, and I could hear a helicopter. Wait, was that my heart?
I don't know how much time passed. It felt like centuries, but it was probably about a week. Suddenly, it didn't hurt so much anymore. The fire died down, as did the sound of that helicopter. And then... it stopped.
