"You don't know Doctor Mallard or recognize your son?" Gelfand asked.

"Ducky." Ducky said.

"Ducky. Do you know Ducky?" Gelfand asked.

Dad shook his head.

I couldn't stay in the room. I felt like I was going to pass out. I walked out of the room sitting against the wall. He didn't recognize me. How could this happen? I felt like breaking down and crying. I haven't done that since my mom and sister's death. Gelfand, Baliad, and Ducky soon came out of the room as I stood up.

"Sorry, I just couldn't stay in there. Him saying he didn't recognize me hurt worse than a gunshot to the chest." I said.

"That's understandable in your condition. You can go in and try to talk to him if you're up for it." Gelfand said.

I nodded and walked into the room slowly. Dad looked over at me as tears filled both of our eyes. I closed the door and sat back down in the chair next to his bed. He reached out and cupped my cheek with his hand. I leaned into his hand loving the feeling of his touch.

"Robin?" he asked me.

"Yeah. It's really me dad." I replied.

"How?"

"I grew up. A bit too fast I suppose."

"You definitely have your mother's eyes."

I smile a bit. "I know. You say that to me all the time."

He smiles a bit as well.

"Dad, what's the last thing you remember?"

"When we went to go see their graves."

I nodded. "That's a start at least."

"Have you not slept, son?" I guess he noticed the bags under my eyes.

"No. I haven't."

"Why?"

"Well, with you in this condition I didn't want to miss anything."

"You need to rest."

"I'll rest when you have your memory back and when you're out of this hospital room."

"Son."

"Dad."

"Please rest. It's not like I'm going anywhere."

I sigh a bit giving in. "Alright."

I lay my head down on the bed looking at him. He pets my head as I close my eyes and sleep. And let me just say, I haven't slept that peaceful in ages.

The next morning I wake up to see dad flipping through the channels on the TV. I smile a bit and sit up as I rub my eyes.

"Morning sleepyhead." dad said.

"Morning dad." I say laughing a bit.

"Sleep well?"

"Oh yeah. I haven't slept that good in forever."

Dad laughed and smiled a bit.
