    Hi my name is Circe Athas and I'm starting my life over again. My brother, my mother, and I just moved to Japan from Greece. Well my mother is in the hospital but she is still here I guess. We live in a pretty tiny apartment because all our money goes to moms bills. My older brother Mack works too. I would but he wont let me.
   
Right now Im visiting my mom to bring her some flowers. I got off the elevator and walked to her room. "Hey mom" "My baby girl!! How are you?" "I'm great mom glad to see you're doing better" she gave me a smile. I dont understand how she is always so bubbly. "Hey what's the matter hun a pretty girl like you should smile more. Oh hey isn't the entrance exam for UA next week! Oh Im sure you'll be a great a pro just like your father"
  
Yeah...my dad a great pro with a quirk just like Macks. He died after the car crashed on his way to see mom. Funny how he could save everyone else's life but not his own.
    
"Yeah thanks mom I'm really excited" "I'm sure you'll knock em dead kiddo" I giggled. "I have to go mom but Mack said he will come visit soon" "k love ya" I got up kissed her forehead and left. On my way out I talked to one of the doctors they said she still colapses 3 or 4 times a week. But they dont really know what's wrong with her, but I'm going to guess  that it's something to do with our quirk.
  
The thing about mine and my mom's quirk is that it is given to each generation. The first girl if the family gets receives it. It depends on the strength of your body and soul and it's hard to control. I'm thinking that it just took everything it could out of mom now she's left with nothing.
   I say thanks to the doctor and walk outside and sit on the curb. I can feel the tears that threaten to come out of my eyes. Why does this have to happen to me to us!! A few tears come out but I wipe them as I here footsteps.
  I look behind me and there's a boy with half white and half red hair staring at the entrance like he's debating whether or not to go inside. I find myslef looking at him. He has this burn mark it looks around his eye on the left side. He was honestly still quite good looking. He stares at the door for a few more minutes then stops and walks away.

   I figure I should get home too. I take out my skateboard and ride to my house. When I walk inside my brother Mack and his friend Sam were sitting on the couch watching a movie. "H..hey Circe" Sam stuttered. "Hey" I sat down next to them "how's mom?" "Good, how was work?" "Good some girl asked Sam out" I pretended to be shocked "wow Sam what a player" "he very funny I'm just trying to serve coffee and get paid not be asked out like once a week" he said embarrassed. "Why dont you say yes once in a while?" He just shruged and looked down at his lap and his face got a deep red. "Well are we going on our daily jog or what" They both smiled and jumped from the couch. We walked outside the boys and I stood at the edge of the street. " ya ready boys the first one to the park and back wins and the loser has to make dinner" "your on" Mack glared at me because he HATES cooking.

   "On your mark get set..." thet started running "hey that's not fair you both have longer legs too get back here!"

TIME SKIP TO END OF RACE GO😋

"IM FIRST YESSSS" Mack screamed as I run into second and then Sam third. He just smiled at me. "I would be glad to cook for you guys" I jumped up happily like a little girl. Sam cooked really well he would make a great housewife. And I know how shy he gets so I thought maybe I should tease him a bit. "Sam you're cute, kind, cooks, and cleans I outta marry you"

I give him a quick wink.Im pretty sure he was gonna faint. "Sam be careful how you respond to that" Mack growled in his overprotective big brother mode. "I'm just messing around chill"

   After dinner I took a quick shower and went to bed. This next week I have to train hard to get into UA. I let my mind wander while falling asleep. I thought of that half and half boy I saw today. Why didn't he go inside the hospital? I wonder if he saw me looking at him? Ah whatever I'm tired.
