The truth

All members are now back in South Korea and have slept well since then. But the first day of work came faster than they wanted. Ateez had to return to the dance studio which was not an easy thing. As usual, the schedule was very tight and hectic and most had to find their way back into the routine after the short break. But one member had no problem with that at all. Hongjoong.

Hongjoong tried to fill his schedule as much as he could and avoided everything that would remind him of that one night where his heart got broken into pieces. He only talked to the most important people and entrenched himself back inside his room again. Everyone was worried about their leader.
At the morning of their official first work day after the break Hongjoong woke up two hours before the actual wakeup time. He had slept less during his break than before the whole thing with San and Wooyoung. It concerned him every night. Sometimes he wanted to cry himself to sleep if it wasn't for Seonghwa who would then wake up. To get himself distracted he wrote lyrics in the nights and sometimes he didn't get a second of sleep at all. As a result he has gotten used to waking up early in the morning. After waking up he busied himself with more lyric writing but everytime he almost finished a script he would crumble it and throw it into the trash can beside him.

Tonight was the night where Hongjoong decided to finally talk to San and Wooyoung. All members should be there and learn the truth about them. He was completely convinced that the others would agree with him, after all, an intern-relationship among a group of friends is a no-go.

At least that's what he thought.

At the very beginning when everyone met and it was certain that they would debut together, they vowed to always be honest with each other and never lie. Had Hongjoong only guessed then that San and Wooyoung were already in a relationship and have despised themselves for lying to every member ,except Seonghwa, to this day and that they were fighting a lot before and some time after their debut. If it wasn't for Seonghwa they would have surely broken up and either one or both would have left the group.

Leaving the practise room and getting into the car was awkwardly quiet. Everyone noticed that today's atmosphere was really tense and uncomfortable.
When Hongjoong was the last to leave the practice room and everyone else was already at the car, they discussed who would be sitting in the passenger seat. Normally they would quarrel with each other to sit in the front seat but that was the exact opposite on that day.
Nobody had dared to say a word let alone look at the leader at all when he finally reached the car and sat down comfortably as poor Yeosang was chosen to sit in the front seat.

"Guys, when we reach our dorm let's talk" Hongjoong said with seriousness which caused goosebumps on everyones body.

Now they were really scared. They thought about things like did we do something wrong, did we not do well enough, was doing a one week break wrong, did we disappoint our fans on our first world tour?? These questions were on everyone's mind and the quietness made them go crazy.
But soon enough they were sitting in a circle still quiet while looking at him and waiting for the leader to say something.

As Hongjoong lifted his head the others looked away. Everyone except Wooyoung and San lifted their heads after they realised that he hasn't said anything yet.

"Hyung, why don't you say anything? And why are you glaring at them? Jongho said as he was getting scared from his hyung's behavior.

"Why don't you ask them yourself what they did wrong!" Hongjoong answered rather harshly which made the youngest flinch in his seat.

Realising that Hongjoong was talking about two certain members the couple lifted their head and saw that he meant them.

"Are you talking about us?" Wooyoung asked suprised while pointing his finger between him and San to clarify his question.
