How did I let this happen? I've only known him for roughly 2 weeks! This is utterly ridiculous. Though I'm a very complicated person, I never expected to find myself attracted to someone in such a short amount of time. I mean, I am rather tired and I'm definitely not thinking straight, so this could just be another misconception on my part.
As I strolled down the stairs, I thought about the food. Realizing I was going to have to lug three whole plates of food up to the commons, I decided it would be easier for me to eat there. It wouldn't change much about the whole day, just that I'm not eating with them. Plus, I'll just steal food from their piles if I didn't eat enough prior.
Entering the Great Hall, the scent of cinnamon and sausage filled my nostrils and the chatter of the remaining students occupied my hearing. Nothing really unusual came up in their conversations when I passed by. They mostly discussed grades and upcoming tests. It really wasn't anything special compared to what I'm used to. To my surprised, no one noticed that I entered the hall too. Not a single stray eye landed on my body as I strolled by, and I wasn't complaining.
The ceiling revealed grey, cloudy skies which greatly disappointed me since I desired to read in the soft grass today. Rain came down from the clouds and disappeared as it came in contact with the ceiling. Such a gloomy, lazy day and I still wanted to do so much more than sit and wait inside this frigged castle.
I sat by Harry, Hermione, and Ron who all looked rather refreshed for a weekend morning. As usual, Ron's daily breakfast pile almost reached the ceiling as he shoved all the contents down his throat. Hermione rolled her eyes, resuming her reading, and Harry looked up at me with a smile.
"Good morning." I said, stretching my limbs in the process. After that, I collected three plates, two of them to fill.
Hermione looked up my the sound of my greeting and closed her book. Her hair was pulled up into a tight ponytail, her puffy hair frizzing beyond the mark of the scrunchy. Her hair has always left me without words. It complimented her complexion perfectly and accented her eyes beautifully.
"Good morning Y/N. How have you been today?" Hermione asked folding her hands in her lap and directing her focus towards me.
"Decent. I've been baby sitting the twins all morning" The mere mention of his brothers, Ron peeked his head from behind the mountain of food in front of him and gave me a confused look, tilting his head.
"What about my brothers?" He asked with a mouth full of food, spraying juices at us with ever syllable. I shielded myself with an empty plate, Hermione with her book, and Harry with his sleeve. After his question, we all gave him a well deserved glare. "Sorry." He replied to our looks.
I ignored the past event and continued with our conversation. "They're just lying around. I've been trying to force them to do something productive, but you know how they are." I grabbed a fork and started to lay links of sausage on one plate. "They sent me here with the mission of getting them breakfast and when I get back I have to grab a blanket too."
"You shouldn't be doing that for them! They're fully capable of doing that themselves. Imagine how Mrs. Weasley would react to thi-"
"What about my mother?" Ron interrupted, once again shooting his spit all over us. This time I didn't have time to block the droplets raining down upon me, so I got a hair full of orange juice and bacon. Hermione's situation was similar, except the spit landed all over her face. And Harry, poor Harry, had his coffee contaminated by the juice and protein mixture. Harry started gagging by the sight of a bacon chunk floating in his drink.
