What do you do?

and she held her knees to her chest

ever so tightly

it was the only way she could conceive of holding herself together,

the pain was swelling up inside of her, threatening to bubble over at a mere glance.

she was going to be alone.

very alone within the sea of people.

see she knows other people, cares about some of them even.

but they don't even begin to compete to the love and completeness she feels with him.

He knows her better than anyone else does, listens, protects, soothes.

Other people aren't even in the same scale. He makes her feel like it's okay to be herself.

She can be beautiful and funny and caring, someone worth loving.

So where will that go when he leaves?

Skype can't kiss her forehead when she's being stubborn, Skype can't hold her close as they watch a movie or hug her tight when all she wants is to break down and let go.
