The day had turned into night as dark clouds swept over the city. It was raining. The tapping sounds of these droplets of water filled the soundless hue in the streets. People rushing for shelter attempting to not get soaked in this cold, fast falling weather. The sounds of impatient drivers honking their horns at the traffic no one could control, only added to the sound of the rain.
In the midst of all this were the fast, yet light footed steps of torn up sneakers. The alleys this person travelled, even darker now that it was night. Every sharp turn seemed to be no use, as the person they were trying to get off their trail seemed to be just as fast. The pace of their steps as fast as the rain shooting down from the dark grey clouds.
The cold this rain storm brought was evident, as every breath that was exhaled from their tired lungs became a translucent mist. The oxygen hurriedly being blown out of their mouth to take in another breath of air.
Their attire dressed in all black. As their leggings were torn and dirtied, they were covered by an equally messed up oversized hoodie that covered this figures face. Despite that, the figure under the hoodie was also covered in filth. The running for long periods of time nothing new, but the track they had to escape through seemed to encase them in all sorts of dirt and smells.
Why were they running? Well, this dark hooded figure was seen fleeing from the back of a murder scene a few alleys back. This brings us to a persistent underground hero chasing them down. Which has been going on for about 20 minutes now. Knowing these alleys so well was useful, meaning they didn't feel the need to activate their quirk when trying to evade this hero. That would make it no fun at all.
"Give it up! We know you must be getting tired!!" The run away simply rolled their eyes and kept running, what they didn't miss was this males choice in words. He said 'we' meaning there was more than one person ready to put your ass in jail tonight.
Pushing that aside, the dark figure still ran. Knowing there was an opening into the streets up ahead, the goal was to get camouflaged into the group of swarming citizens running for shelter from the rain. Only to reach the sidewalk and realize that the alleyway they had planned to stealthily emerge from was circled by police cars. The streets had seemed to be cleared, they knew where this figure was going to pop out. Meaning whoever this hero was, purposely let them run ahead. Damn it.
The familiar and blinding blue and red police lights circling the exit of the alley. Policemen standing out in the rain with loaded guns pointed toward the unknown figure with their head held low. They didn't fully know this persons quirk, and so they weren't sure if they were strong enough to even take down a police officer.
