The next morning had arrived. The teenage girl well aware the day had started, but made no effort to get out of bed. She lay on her back and stared at the ceiling of her bland room, eyes wide open as if she hadn't slept at all last night. Which she hadn't, but that was besides the point.
The words exchanged between her and Kurogiri late last night, still fresh in her brain. She knew she would eventually have to go to... UA. But the girl hated the idea of caving so easily after making such a big deal out of it beforehand. The fact that what he had said caused her to freeze so easily honestly pissed her off. It had reminded the girl that even though this place seemed to have a lot more freedom, she was still being controlled in a way that didn't allow her to make her own decisions.
The sun had finally chosen to shine through the girls only window, the light effectively blinding her as if mocking the cheery feeling she couldn't and didn't want to feel. She groaned in protest at nature's wake up call, pulling a pillow over her face to block out the irritating spotlight.
The sound of a door squeaking open from across her room caused her to shift slightly. She looked towards the noise knowing it was Shigaraki starting his morning as well.
Hastily getting out of bed while throwing her h/c hair back and out of her face she quickly swung her own door open to lock eyes with the male before he had the chance to walk down the hallway.
"L/n welcome back" Shigaraki spoke, his voice more cranky and raspier than usual due to him just waking up. "Mhmm" the girl hummed back, squinting her eyes at the light haired teen. "What?", he looked back at her with the same expression, the morning clearly being neither of their favourites.
"You know if anyone has been in my room lately?" Her gaze intensified on the male as he avoided her glare. The girl took notice of his body language, how for a split second his shoulders seemed to flinch before returning back to it's natural slouch. "Not a clue, why was something taken?" He answered her question with another question.
"No nothing like that, but I dunno it felt... different today" she vaguely explained, still staring the male down. He scoffed, "beats me, lock your door next time" he attempted to walk away but in mere seconds the girl was in front of him again. "See I totally would, but my door seems to be a little broken, mind telling me how that happened?" The fake perk in her voice was laced with venom.
The male was about to respond before the voice of Kurogiri calling them over for breakfast was heard. Giving Shigaraki the perfect opportunity to slip away, causing the girl to grumble under her breath.
Pancakes with a side of bacon were served along with a glass of orange juice. The silence uncomfortable as they ate the breakfast. The girl finally looked up from her meal, the warp gate already looking back at her, "L/n-" "Kurogiri-", both attempted to speak at the same time, the glares being sent between the two causing the other teen in the room to stop drinking his orange juice.
