"Who can stop me?"
"I don't even need an opponent"
???:
We should've known.
We were all fools.
No, I think the better word to describe us would be cowards.
Cowards because we chose to turn a blind eye. Cowards because we ran away from the future in search of refuge in the past. Cowards because we thought that turning back the clock was the solution.
We haven't solved anything.
White flashes of happy, joyous memories ran again and again through my mind. I was going insane. We all were.
We relived them, each and every one of those memories struck again.
Then what did we do? What happened once we ran into trouble again?
We turned back the clock.
Again and again, we did it, stuck in an eternal bliss that was no better than the purple gummy.
There was nothing brave about our actions.
The more we turned the clock, the more would remember. The more we turned the clock, the more we realized that this wasn't real. Our happiness wasn't real. We were trying to desperately to reach it and yet it seemed to get further away. It was meant to be that way.
Fate was never meant to be this way.
Denial was the worst thing, and yet we had gotten caught in that trap. The love that had for each other, for our world, for our lives; it was all fading away.
And there was no way to stop it, other than to face ourselves.
The only barrier before us was ourselves, and yet we failed to see that.
We needed no new opponent because we already had one: ourselves. Our fate was sealed.
And so, the cycle continues.
Our love fades away, lost to the abyss of time.

the end :)
