Bailey's Pov-
"So you're our neighbor," Axel asks while we sit on the couch sipping our drinks. As much as we tried, there was no stopping Justin when it came to movies apparently. That is why we are where we are: two almost grown men sipping a beer with "Let it go" playing at high volume along with another almost grown man screeching every memorized lyric at the top of his lungs. You know, the usual.
"Yeah. I live next door with Marcus and Nico. You haven't seen them yet," I say, speaking loudly to drown out the music.
"Well, that's cool. You should bring them around sometime. We're always looking for more company."
"Even with the dozen or so people in your house," I say with a slight chuckle.
"Even so," he adds back. "Trust me, after you've lived with them for a while, you get tired of them."
"Yeah, trust me, I get it."
After a silence, Axel asks, "So, what happened at the club? I know Macy won't tell me."
"I'm not really sure the circumstances of the fight but this one dude made her mad and she socked him right in the face. Then she ran. I don't know who this dude is but one, Macy was not happy and two, they seemed like they knew each other. Arda was mad too. I'm pretty sure his name was something like Charles or-"
"Charlie?"
"Yeah," I say.
"Son of a bitch," he mutters and rolls his eyes. "I still need to beat the asshole up," he grumbles while taking a long sip of his beer.
"What did he do to her? I mean, I've only known Macy for a few days but she doesn't seem like the one to cry," I ask, trying to pry answers out of the dude.
"He cheated on her with some bitch after they'd been dating for a while. Everyone thought that they were going to-," he gets cut off by the blaring sound of the fire alarm flooding through the house. "Damnit, Justin! What the hell'd you do this time," he yells and gets up, walking towards the kitchen. I didn't even realize he left the living room.
Axel and I make our way through the thick smoke and to the kitchen. "I burnt the cookies! Their poor souls! Let them rest in pieces," he yells, fake sobbing while he stumbles his way out of the kitchen. I just stand there while Axel goes into the kitchen. Is this what usually happens in this house?
A few minutes later, Axel comes back out, wiping his hands with a towel. "Ha, hey Bailey," Justin says before Axel reaches us, finally noticing me. "Well, I better get going, I need to avenge the last batch of cookies which are now buried in the deep dark grave known as the trash can," he added before turning back around.
Axel gets there just in time to put his hands on Justin's shoulders and push him away from the kitchen. "No! No more baking or cooking for you! You are going to burn the house down and you know how mad Macy would be."
"But, but, my cookies," he whines as his shoulders slump and he stops trying to push past Axel. Axel turns him around.
"Go. Go upstairs and do something else. Here, even better, go upstairs, lock yourself in one of the soundproof rooms and you can sing as loud as you want to Frozen."
"Oooh, fun," Justin says as he walks up the stairs.
Axel turns back to me. "This is why I need new people to hang out with." We both chuckle before making our way back to the living room. All I need is Macy to wake up.
