Macy's pov-
I hugged my pillow tighter, flipping myself around to face the other side of the room. I shuffle around a bit, trying to go back to bed but once I can't, I sighed and opened my eyes. I sit up, rubbing my eyes and go to stand up. Hearing a groan coming from somewhere in my room, I immediately turn around to the source of noise and get ready to fight. I sigh and drop my stance when I see that it is just Bailey staring at me, wide eyes and arms up in surrender. I roll out my shoulders and neck, relaxing. I run a hand through my hair, "I'm not going to hit you, Bailey." He looked at me wearily before dropping his hands.
Before I can even comprehend what was happening, Bailey has grabbed my hand and we are running downstairs. We got down to the last floor and he immediately led me straight into the kitchen, passing everyone into the living room, giving them a quick wave as I passed.
"Sit," he says as he points to a stool. I sat down, a glare etched on my face.
"Bailey, I'm not a dog."
"Yeah, you obviously can't take care of yourself."
"Why do you care anyway," I ask under my breath. He doesn't answer but his back stiffens up, letting me know that he heard me. He doesn't answer but instead pulls out some food and turns on the stove. I blew out a breath and tilted my head back, still suffering from the headache.
I turn my attention back to the table when Bailey sets a bowl of pasta down in front of me alongside a bottle of water. I grab the water and take a sip before pushing them both away. "I don't feel good," I mumble out.
"Huh, I wonder why," Bailey replied with a sarcastic expression. He sighed, "C'mon, Macy, you need to eat something." He pushes the pasta back in front of me. "Eat."
I roll my eyes and push it back away. Angrily, I speak out with a glare, "I'm not hungry; I don't feel good."
"Does it look like I care whether you're hungry or not? You have to eat something or you won't feel better."
"I won't ever feel better," I mumble, but not loud enough for him to understand what I was saying. I mean, it was true. I have always acted like this, ever since I was little.
"What?"
"Nothing," I say and shake my head as I sit up and grab the pasta towards me. I guess it won't hurt to try, right? I continued eating the pasta until I can't anymore; I almost finished it. Bailey looked content and he took the bowl and placed it in the sink when he realized that I wasn't going to eat any more. I looked around and my eyes placed themselves upon the clock on the stove. The green, light-up numbers read 9:00 pm.
My eyes widened when I remembered that I had a fight scheduled soon. I hurriedly pushed the chair back and ran upstairs, catching Bailey and Axel's attention as I abruptly left the room. As I passed the living room I yelled at Pat, "I need you to come with me. 10, right?" I barely stayed for an answer and darted upstairs when he nodded.
As I left the room, Patrick was explaining to Axel that I had the fight to go to. I continue to my room and go inside, closing the door behind me. I turned around and right when I was about to lock the door, Bailey held it open. "Where are you going?" I roll my eyes, of course, he would want to know. Real quickly, thinking of a solution, I pinch his hand and lock the door after it closes. I go to my closet and get changed into a sports bra and shorts, putting a hoodie over top. I grab my phone and head back to my door after putting my hair into a ponytail. I open up my door and Bailey is standing by the door, waiting for me. Also, not-so-subtly, checking me out. I walk past him and am about to go downstairs when he grabs my arm. "Where are you going," he asks again.
I look at the time again. If I don't leave now I won't get there in time and there is no way in hell I am about to miss a fight. I look down the stairs and then back at Bailey, who is still expecting an answer. Can I please explain later?" He nodded and let go. We went downstairs together. I went with Pat and we hopped in my car. I, of course, was driving. We sped away but I saw Axel inviting Bailey along. I sigh and keep my eyes on the road as we make our way to the fight. This is going to be a long night.
