Macy's pov-
I gently rub my hand along the comfortable mattress, admiring the, probably high, thread count of the sheets. I shoved my face deeper into the pillows and snuggled deeper into the bed, pulling the soft, billowy comforter higher up.
I could already feel the aftermath of drinking as I felt a headache creeping in, making the hangover noticeably get worse. I stayed laying down as long as I could. I peeked out from under the blankets, barely opening my eyes, to see a Bailey quietly sneaking in. I watch him as he looks slightly unsure of what to do. So, I'm guessing that I'm at his house. I see him start towards me so I close my eyes again and roll over onto my other side, facing away from him.
I ducked my head under the covers, trying to conceal warmth. It was like that for a few minutes before I felt a hesitant hand poke my back. I jerk my shoulder back, pushing his hand away and then ignore him. He does it again ad I scoot further away to the other side of the bed.
I hear a sigh. "Macy, I know that you're awake."
I grumble as I stuff my face into the mattress. I lift my head up for a second, immediately getting a headache from the sudden action. "Go away." I drop my head back down to the bed.
"Macy, you need to get up and drink some water," Bailey says, sounding like he's a lot closer than before.
I hold up a lazy finger and put it to his lips." Shhhhhh, not so loud," I say tiredly and then drop my hand.
"Macy, get out of bed, or I'll carry you out."
I ignore him. I've almost fallen asleep again when I feel strong arms wrap around my waist and before I know it, I'm in the air, being carried bridal style by Bailey. I just close my eyes once again, too stubborn to stop falling back to sleep.
I was soon rudely awakened by Bailey sitting me down on a counter. I leaned my head back against a cabinet, I'm guessing we're in a kitchen, and finally find enough strength to open my eyes.
I let my head fall back forward and I look up. I hiss at the light and over my head with my hands. "What are you, a damn vampire," Bailey asks with an amusing glance.
"Turn the fucking lights down, my head hurts," I grumpily say, giving him a quick glare.
"I can't just turn the lights down, Macy. It's not my fault you drank too much." He pauses for a minute. "You have a nice smile, you should smile more."
My eyes widen and my head snaps up abruptly to look at him. His words caught me by surprise. Me? Smile? But, I never smile. "I smiled?"
"Yeah, you were shit-faced drunk and almost passed out on a tree. Then I found you, and you gave me this goofy smile before trying to convince me that you weren't drunk," he says raising an eyebrow at me. " Why did you run away and get drunk anyway? Especially with broken ribs."
"Well, I was bored, and I mean the only thing really around was the bar so I was like, Eh, why not? I'm totally regretting my decision though." I shrugged." I may have also done it to spite you, but just a teeny weeny bit."
"Well, I see that you are not dealing with the consequences well," he says with a smirk on his face.
"Shut up. Where's your Advil."
"Umm, let me see," he says while searching through his cabinets. "Aha! Here it is." He grabs the bottle of painkillers and sets it down on the counter below him. I reach over and grab them, barely able to reach them without falling off of the counter. I grunt as I pull them back to me due to my ribs. He looks over to me with worry-filled eyes while filling up a small glass of water.
He looks at me skeptically as he gives it to me as if he is scanning for new injuries. I grab the water out of his hands and drink some of it. Then I grab the two pain pills off f the counter and pop them In my mouth, swallowing them with some water. Then I chug the rest of it. I set the glass on the counter when I finished it.
Bailey comes near me as I try to remember last night. I tilted my head at him. "Did I actually smile?"
"Yeah. Why?"
"I don't usually smile, I actually haven't in a couple of years."
"Why not? You have a beautiful smile," he asks.
His comment makes me blush a little. Don't get me wrong, I've been called hot and sexy, but no one has ever really called me beautiful. "I just, don't usually have a reason to smile. It's usually to hard to smile. I also don't like it," I say looking down, feeling... Ashamed? Maybe? I hear quick footsteps come towards me and I look back up.
My breath hitches as I see that we are almost touching noses. He looks up and down my face, stopping at my lips. I unknowingly give a short nod as if giving him permission. Then, he leans closer. His lips touched mine and the world fell away.
It was slow and soft. His hand rested under my ear, slowly caressing my cheek. He broke apart and stared at me, searching my face for a reaction. I look up and meet his eyes. I was filled with an unknown emotion, one that has never been felt before.
The next thing I know, I slammed my lips onto his. This kiss was filled with desire and passion. Rough but et delicate. I put my hands around his neck, pulling him closer. He willingly came and stood between my legs. His hands were wrapped upon my waist as he kissed back. I could almost feel his heartbeat and I bet he could feel mine. I pulled away, needing a breath.
We both stood there staring at each other, breathless. I maybe didn't know what I felt but I knew, for sure, that it took my pain away. He was the only painkiller I needed.
