Macy's Pov-
I darted into the fighting club and rushed straight to the locker room, leaving Pat able to fend for himself. I quickly take off the hoodie and shove it into my duffel bag. Then I begin to wrap my hands. I took a deep breath, shoving everything back inside my bag as I walked back out and into the ring as my name was called. I heard cheers from those who knew of me but I swear I heard a boo or two. Eh, I'll just prove them wrong anyway.
The competition was a big guy. Buff but looks slightly off-balance, leaning more on his right leg than his left. It was probably due to some injury from a fight before. I popped my knuckles and thought of a game plan; which really was to aim for his left leg to knock him down.
Before I knew it, the fight began.
He threw the first punch using all of his body weight. His fist hit my eye at least leaving a black eye for me to cover up later. A splash of pain hit my head before I pulled myself together. Well, time to forget the damn plan. He just made me angry.
I swung this time, making him stumble back surprised. Blood leaked from both his nostrils as he held his nose. Ooooh, that must've hurt like a bitch.
He drew his fist back again and it hit my stomach. I just glared at him as I now had a bruise forming on my stomach. I punched his jaw, knocking him out as I spit blood into his face with a small growl. Then I scanned the crowd, seeing Bailey glare at me.
Then it all comes back to me. My first fight here. I recognize that glare from the guy that I beat the crap out of. My eyes widened as I ran straight out of the building without meeting up with my family first. I jumped in my car and texted them that I had to leave in a rush to get my injuries checked out by the gang doctor.
I actually am going to the doctor, even though it may just be to avoid Bailey. I drive to one of the gang houses, which is slightly outside of town, and park out in the back. I open my door and slam it shut after I step out, not forgetting to lock it.
I take out a key and unlock the gang house. Then, I walk in and shout for a doctor. I really don't care which one.
"Wassup Macy, how you been," my friend, Lilah, asked while giving me a bro hug. I hug her back while shrugging. I pull out of the hug and see that one of the gang doctors is waving me over to a new room. Usually, in my gang, I don't talk unless I have too. I don't know why but it kinda is just like that.
I sit down on the counter in the bathroom and the doctor looks over my fresh bruises. How fun-not the sarcasm. He sighs and presses on the one on my stomach. I wince." What the fuck was that for," I ask through clenched teeth.
"You have at least one or two broken ribs. You'll have to stay somewhere with a doctor until they're healed more. They may cause internal bleeding."
How the hell did that guy break my ribs? I didn't even feel it. "Okay. I'll stay here, but not in this room. I'll go to a guest room upstairs," I say with a grunt as I hop off of the counter making my way out of the room and upstairs already. I hear him reply saying that he'll be up in a minute.
I take sharp exhales almost every step until I make it up a level. Making the smart decision to stop on this floor was a good one because there is no possible way that I could make it up another flight of stairs and I quickly open one of the rooms, which are pretty much all empty.
I lay down on the bed as the doctor comes up and hands me two ice packs. I give him a nod of acknowledgment before he leaves. I grab the remote off of the bedside table and turn the T.V on. I browse Netflix before clicking on a random show because I can't decide what to watch. I slowly lay back and settle the ice packs on my stomach and eye. I watch T.V. for a little bit before I hear the slamming of doors once again and the feeling of Deja Vu rushes through me as I sigh, already knowing who is coming up the stairs and opening my door.
