Macy's Pov-

I walk out the doors of the school, with Bailey by my side. PE was canceled, so our class joined the other one for an extra hour of math. I groaned," I stubbed my toe."

"On what," Bailey looked at me confused as to why I brought it up.

"Life," I said seriously but he just laughed at me.

"Didn't you get a paper cut yesterday," He asked me.

"Yeah, from the Lexicon of pain and confusion," I grumbled and looked at the band-aid that covered the paper cut on my finger.

"Can you please stop calling the math textbook that? I will never be able to take it seriously," he said, still laughing.

"No, that's a completely valid definition for it. It's too evil to be called a math textbook" I said with a defiant face.

"What am I going to do with you," he mumbled and walked to his car. "Hey, I'll see you at eight right?"

"Yeah, see you," I said before hopping into my car. I stop at the grocery store on my way home to pick up stuff for tonight. I grab a cart once I walk in and immediately go to the candy aisle. I started grabbing random candy and threw it into the basket. After that aisle, I did the same for sodas and chips. I then cruise on over to the check out lines and after a little bit, I am on my way home with my car filled with junk food.

Just my luck, on my way home, it started raining. I have to walk in and out of the house and into the rain. When I arrived home, I parked my car as close to the front as I could. I got out and grabbed as many bags as I could, rushing into the house trying not to get completely soaked in rainwater.

After another trip or two later, I only have to go back to grab my bag and make sure my car is locked. I quickly did that and on my way back I accidentally stepped into a puddle of mud. I tried to move my foot out but I couldn't, forcing me to take off my shoe. I reached back down, trying to grab my shoe out when it suddenly went under. How the heck was there so much mud in the same spot? It's more like quicksand than mud. I sigh as there was no saving my beloved shoe. I continue walking to the house, now somewhat-shoeless and soaked in rain. My plan didn't really work out well.

Once I got inside, I locked the door behind me and made my way back to the kitchen. I saw Justin as he started to unload the groceries onto the counter. He looks up and scans my soaking wet body. "What happened to your shoe?"

"The giant mud puddle down the driveway demanded a sacrifice," I grumbled out but my tone was still quite playful. Justin laughed at me before sending me upstairs to go shower and change.

I went upstairs and did just that. I showered and changed into a pair of leggings and Bailey's dark blue hoodie. Let's just say that he's not getting it back. After adding on some fluffy socks, I walked downstairs and into the kitchen. I started to put the snacks into different bowls before setting them in the living room. Then, I ran upstairs to get as many pillows and blankets as I could.

Due to the fact that I could barely see over the mountain of things in my hands, going down the stairs was not an easy task. I had to stay focused. And then the doorbell rang. "Somebody get the door," I yelled as I continued down the stairs. I'm nearly down the stairs when I hear the door open and voices sound from the entryway. My socks slip and I slide on the hardwood floors, causing me to fall. Luckily I landed on the big pile of pillows and blankets.

I hear booming laughter coming from everyone around me and I couldn't help but join in. It feels good to laugh and smile. Especially after such a long time. As I was savoring the moment, the laughing around me ceased. I stop and look towards everyone. Hey, all have small smiles on their faces. Bailey makes eye contact with me and grinned. I gave him a smile back.

"You actually smiled," Axel said loudly. "It's been too long since anyone's seen your smile. Glad it's coming back out again," he added on.

I smiled again and Bailey came over and swooped down to help me up. He tightly pulled me into a hug. Before he let go, he whispered in my ear, "You look impossibly more beautiful when you smile."

I blush and look down. He lets me go and grabs my hand, leading me to the smaller couch. He sat down and pulled me down next to him. He pulls me closer and wraps his arms around me. I snuggled into him as someone grabbed the remote. Axel put on The Sixth Sense and he got up to turn the lights off before walking back over to snuggle with Arda. Nico and Justin were next to each other as well. I sighed contently, relaxing. Tonight's going to be a good night.

We continued to watch the movie and once we got to a certain scene, I felt Bailey tense up. I looked behind me, at him, with furrowed eyebrows. "Are you scared," I asked with a smirk.

"No. I have this terrified look on my face because I'm having. So. Much. Fun," he says through clenched teeth. He's cute when he's scared.

"But if I am scared, what would you do about it," he asks with a suggestive look on his face. I turn back around, scoffing and hitting him in the chest. This was a Halloween to remember.
