Monse was frustrated. She was frustrated with Ruby for fucking up his talk with Oscar. She was frustrated with Jamal for being so disinterested. Most importantly though, she was frustrated with Cesar for not giving a damn if he lived or died. Particularly since she cared so much.
... Ok, maybe she was also upset with him for flirting with Olivia all goddamn day. At school, at the park after school, as they toured Freeridge. He was laying it on thick and Olivia was eating it up.
'You did tell him it wasn't going to happen again' she reminded herself as she stomped around her house picking up. It was her last night home alone for the week, as her dad would be back around dinner the next day.
It was extremely annoying that Cesar seemed to like Olivia. Not that Monse could blame him. She was a very pretty girl, and feminine in all the ways that Monse was not. Still, she couldn't believe that after they'd done what they did, he didn't feel some sort of guilt for shamelessly flaunting his attraction to Olivia in front of her. She briefly wondered what would happen if she suddenly started hitting on Ruby or Jamal, but the thought was too hilarious to take seriously.
And then there was the matter of him blaming her for his promotion in the Santos. Surely he had to know that it was a group decision. She hadn't come up with the plan on her own, and Ruby had told her that Cesar himself was the one who set up the meeting with Oscar. It was completely unfair for him to blame her.
Half-way through her internal rant, she realized that she was marching toward the door.
"I'm going to go give that puto a piece of my mind" She said out loud.
And that's exactly what she did.
When she got to Cesar's, there was no sign of the usual crowd out on the porch, so she quickly made her way around the side of the house to the window she knew was his. She found him, shirtless and rooting through his closet.
'God he's hot' Her inner hoe whispered
She immediately quieted her thoughts, and knocked to get his attention. Turning around suddenly, he looked at her and turned his music down so that he'd be able to hear her.
"What's up?" he asked
"The plan to talk to Oscar wasn't all me. We strategized as a team." She said sassily
Cesar nodded, "Ok. I heard you the first time."
"I wasn't the instigator." She replied
Again he nodded, "Got it."
"I wanted to make sure you knew that." She continued
"Loud and clear" he replied
She kept going, "and I'm not a honey badger"
"Whatever you say, goodnight" He responded, moving to close the window.
Monse felt a pout cover her face. She stuck her arm out to keep him from closing his window.
"Yes?" He asked
She scowled at him, "Are you sure you're sure?"
"About what?" he chuckled
"What I said" She replied
He nodded, "Yeah, you aren't the instigator."
"Right"
"Is that all?" He questioned
It was her turn to nod, "Yep"
He scoffed, "Really? Cause you could have just sent that in a text."
