CHAPTER 9 - The One With All The Jealousy

A few months after the baby was born, Chase decided to formally introduce her to his significant other - Isabella. Allie calls up Chase, "Where do you want to meet again?" She asked.

"Ballfields Café in Central Park. Where are you by the way?" He asked. "Relax; I just passed passed the Wollman Ice Skating rink." She said. "Alright." He said and dropped the call.

"She's on her way." Chase said to Isabella. "Are you okay?" Isabella asked as Chase gets all fidgety. "Yeah I'm fine." He said. "You look tensed." She said. "I'm just excited for you to meet my daughter." He said. "What's her name again?" She asked.

"Cassandra Abigail Bennett-Everett and we call her Cassie." He replied.

"That's a really long last name." Isabella joked and Chase laughs. "We're still working on it." He said and smiled at her.

A few minutes later, Allie arrives as she carries Cassie in her arms. Chase greeted her, hugged her and kissed her cheek before getting the baby from her.

"Allie, you remember my girlfriend Isabella." Chase said as he plays with Cassie's hand. "Hi!" Allie said and hugged Isabella. "Hi Allie." Isabella said. "So I'll pick her up tomorrow at the office." Allie said to Chase. "Isabella do you mind holding Cassie for a while?" He asked. "Not at all." She replied and held the baby in her arms.

Chase and Allie move away from Isabella as they talk. "Why don't I just drop her off to save you the hassle?" Chase suggested. "But what time though? I have a meeting in the afternoon at the Waldorf Astoria." She said. "Wow look at you having meetings at the Waldorf Astoria." He teased and she laughed. "How about dinner? Come by at my apartment and we grab dinner before you go back to Drew's?" He asked.

"Chase, don't you think it's kind of a bit awkward for me to have dinner with you and your girlfriend?" She joked. "She's not gonna be there, her brother's in town so they're going out." He said but Allie was skeptical. "It's totally fine with her that we're being civil and become such good friends, okay? Just have dinner with me and Cassie tonight, please?" He said. "Fine!" She gave in.

Isabella looked over at Chase and Allie, judging from the body language it seems like they're still in love with each other. She sees Chase glow, laugh and smile at Allie and she happens to do the same. Chase hugged Allie and kissed her cheek before saying goodbye to her. Allie waves at Isabella and left the café.

"Where is she going?" Isabella asked. "She's going to work." Chase said and laughs. Isabella hands Cassie over to Chase, "So what do you wanna do today?" she asked. Chase kisses Cassie's cheeks, "How about we go to the zoo?" He suggests. She laughs knowing that she has to go there too and they walk going there.

Seeing Chase and Cassie watch Isabella and what she does for a living was kind of cute. Today, Isabella was feeding and cleaning the large aquarium, in which she dove in. Chase and Cassie watch her and smiles at Isabella. She brought along a whiteboard that she can write on.

"Hi Cassie!" she wrote on the whiteboard. Chase holds Cassie's hand while he's still carrying her and Cassie laughs. After Isabella's shift at the zoo, Chase waited on a park bench while playing with Cassie on his lap. "You didn't have to wait." She said as she kisses him on the cheek. "What kind of boyfriend would I be if I didn't wait for you?" He teased and stood up carrying Cassie. "I'll see you later, okay?" She said.

"I'm sorry, I'm having dinner with Allie tonight." He said. "What?" She asked surprised. "I'm gonna have dinner with Allie tonight at my apartment with Cassie, why?" Chase said. "Isn't that a little weird?" She said feeling jealous. "I promised her we'd have dinner at my place tonight with Cassie, our first family dinner." Chase said calmly. Isabella felt offended and hurt, "okay." Isabella said and walked away from Chase. "Hey, what's the problem?" Chase asked but Isabella just continued to walk away from him.
