A quiet has come over the Mikaelson Compound. Everyone wishes it was because of a better situation, a happier one. But it isn't.
You've been gone for almost a month, and it still hangs over your family's heads like a dark cloud. Everyone has gone over it multiple times in their minds; how they could have done things differently, how things could be different now, how they could have saved you. But it's all over and done with; there isn't anything anyone can do now.
It is true that a few of your siblings were able to come back from the dead on certain occasions. That's why they've been looking for a way to bring you back, any way. So far, they have nothing that can guarantee them they'll get you back safely, and it doesn't seem like they'll ever be able to find anything.
You niece Hope is going to be going back to school soon. She's been packing, and is relieved to be able to get away form New Orleans for the school year. Your death has been especially hard on her. Since you died while protecting her, she's felt guilty about and responsible for your death. She knows if you were still around, you wouldn't blame her for it. You willingly put yourself in harm's way to keep her safe.
There's a light knocking on her door, and your sister Freya steps in. "Hey. You almost ready to go?"
Hope nods. "Yeah. Pretty much."
Freya knows how Hope feels about your death, and she's been concerned about your niece since it happened. She's been hoping that going back to her normal school routine will help Hope get past it.
"I know how hard Y/N's death has been on you," Freya says. "Can you promise me that when you go back to school, you'll concentrate on school?"
Hope nods again. "Yeah, I'll try. I know you must think I'm going to try to resurrect Aunt Y/N and I'll wind up doing something crazy. And I would if I thought it would actually work."
"I know. I might do something crazy if I thought it would work, too. But tell you what: you concentrate on school, and I will keep looking to see if there might be anything. And I know the others will help me, too. Y/N was one of the youngest; we all felt kind of responsible for taking care of her. Trust me, if there is something, we'll find it."
Hope hugs her. "Thank you, Aunt Freya. I should have known none of you were giving up yet."
"Of course not," Freya replies. "There might not be a way, but there is, and it's doable, we'd all do it."
