"All right, Mr. Walters the meeting is scheduled. As always it's nice talking to you. Bye-bye," and I hang up the phone.

I leaned back on my office chair, and sigh loudly, "Finally."

"That was like a two-hour call," Melissa comments."Please tell me that was the last phone call of the day."

She's sitting on the couch in my office with six-year-old Legend beside her playing with what appears to be a Superman and Batman toy figures.

I bite my lip while I shake my head wishing it had been.

"Seriously, Veronica? We've been waiting for you for over an hour, and we're starving," she scolds.

"Then go have lunch without me!" I snap rudely, but then quickly regret it.

Her expression quickly changes to slight anger.

I bury my face in my hands, and sigh, "I'm so sorry, Mel, I didn't mean to yell at you it's just that all morning I've been taking freaking phone calls, and it's stressing me out a little bit. I don't know how long it'll take before my head explodes."

"I think it just did," she mumbles.

She gets up and walks over to my desk to take a seat in front of me. "Clearly this job is stressing you out too much. Maybe being a secretary isn't the right job for you. You should talk to Daniel about it."

"I can handle it. It's just a little stressful right now because the company is in the process of being transferred to a different location... to Phoenix."

Her face immediately brightens.

She claps her hands with a huge grin. "Yes! We're finally going home. I miss Phoenix so much."

"Yeah," I reply shortly.

"Wow, you don't look to happy about it."

"I am."

"No, you're not. Don't you want to go back?"

"Of course, I do. I miss my parents, my brother, Corey, Clumsy- I'm dying to meet my baby niece," my heart warms at the last part.

Gio and Lily are now parents of almost a two-year-old Elena. Yes, they named her after MY baby girl. I've only seen her through pictures and facetime. I'm dying to meet her in person to hold her tightly.

"Then what's holding you back? Is it Diablo?" her voice came out as a whisper.

The mention of his name makes my body shiver.

I swallow hard. "Things aren't going to be the same, Melissa. Diablo already agreed to sign me off the gang. Trap Queen is a thing from the past."

"Isn't it a good thing though? I mean now your boyfriend is Daniel, a freaking millionaire, and he gave you the job as his secretary. No more sketchy money, no more crime, you won't need to carry a gun everywhere you go-"

"It's not that simple," I whisper. "I'm in a good place right now with my relationship with Daniel and getting used to this new job. I'm happy here. I don't want Phoenix to change things."

"Then why did you agree with Daniel to move the company to over there? Why didn't you tell him you want to stay?" she asks.

Those are the same questions I've been asking myself every night for the past three weeks, when he first asked me if that was okay.

I shrug my shoulders, "because I do want to go back to see my parents and my brother. I do miss my home. I- it's complicated."

"You're afraid Diablo is going to get in the middle of it?"
