"Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Legend. Happy birthday to you," everyone sang then clapped and cheered at the end.

By everyone, I mean EVERYONE here in the arcade, parents, and kids surrounding us. They wished him a happy birthday, and a girl around his age went as far as redeeming her tickets to get him a present from the gift shop.

I watched Daniel and Legend in awe as he told him to make a wish before blowing out the candles of the delicious cake they had in front of them.

It was such a cute moment between the two. Daniel truly knows how to win hearts. He did it with Elena, and now Legend views him as a father figure. I wouldn't mind having his future children. We're both in our mid-twenties, and we both want a family. We don't know when exactly to begin.

Legend blows off the candles and everyone once again cheers.

I'm so proud of my boy. I love him to death.

Nonetheless, Legend's seventh birthday was a success. We all enjoyed it, and most importantly he had the most fun. We got together, ate a LOT of pizza and played games, just like he wanted.

-

It's around 10:30 pm and the arcade was close to closing up, but until then Legend wanted to stay and play with his new friends.

Melissa ended up finding another mother who is a receptionist, and since that's what she's going to be working for in King Industries in Phoenix, she wanted some pointers, so I let them talk alone.

Daniel was too busy being a kid, tagging along with Legend and his friends. Seriously, no one would guess he's a guy with a multi-millionaire company.

And I? I am sitting in the table next to Melissa's just thinking of the millions of things that can go wrong when we move to Phoenix. I've been living such a peaceful last couple of years with Daniel, and I'm afraid that changes.

I regret not proposing we stayed in New York City. My life here is so much easier. I don't have to worry about getting caught with drugs, weapons, and most importantly my family lives won't be at risk. My parents know the changes I've made in my life, and they are prouder than ever.

I'm scared that Phoenix takes away what I've worked so hard on which is turning my life around.

I was starting to feel a little anxious listening to Melissa and her new friend talking about the business. At some point, that bitch started switching up the conversation. She kept complimenting him saying how tall and handsome he is. The only reason I didn't shut her up with a punch to the jaw was simply that there were children present and I didn't want to ruin Legend's night either.

"Hey, Mel," I interrupted.

She looks over her shoulder up at me, "yeah?"

"I'm going to step outside for a bit to get some fresh air," I tell her.

"Do you need me to come with you?" she asks, beginning to rise from her seat but I wave her off.

"Oh no, you're fine. It won't be long."

She nods slowly, "okay."

I take my phone from my purse and set it on her table next to her. "Just watch my purse, will you?"

"Sure."

I passed the arcade to the exit and went outside. Immediately, the cold breeze hits my face, and I inhale in as much as I could.

What I'm going to miss New York City for sure will be the cold weather. Even though it's the beginning of March, it is still pretty chilly. In Arizona right now would be in the 90s, and it will get even hotter.
