"Let's gooooo." Alex whines as I put my finishing touches on my makeup. I don't understand why I keep saying yes to Alex about going out when so far it ends bad.
"Hold your horses." I tell her. "You're lucky I even agreed, it's Friday night, I just got out of school and now I'm going to some crappy night club. Again."
"You owe me this. You left me by myself and then the next day I didn't even get to go with Edward. I went to the bar across the street and had the crappiest wings I've ever eaten."
"Edward didn't feel like going. At least you got to go." I point out and put my eyeliner back. "I'm done." I stand up straight, smoothing my dress, the same dress I wore the first night.
"I probably should have told you. We aren't going to a nightclub. There's a frat party happening. That's where we're going." What?
"What?" I ask out loud. I've never been to a frat party, I've only considered it once but it didn't sound appealing. Alex has brought me out of my shell a lot and despite the one night stand I had, it's been kind of fun.
"It'll be fine. Besides, you go to school with these people. Don't you?" She asks as we leave my room and go outside. I shiver as the breeze blows against my skin. It's only early October and it's freezing.
"Fine." I sigh and we get in her car. As she drives I can tell we're getting close to the frat houses because of the loud noise and the busy streets. It's Friday night so the bars must be just as full as the frat houses.
We pull up to a big house, the road around it is covered in cars and people. We find a place to park farther away from the house then I'd like to walk in these heels and get out.
As we approach I notice the drunken college kids on the lawn, either passed out or halfway there.
When we enter, the smell of sweat and beer fills my nostrils and I cringe. The nightclubs smell just like this but it's worse cause somehow there are more people."Alex?!" A Girls voice calls and I turn my head to find a girl with blue hair, a nose piercing and a lot of tattoos, more than Edward approaches us. I can't help but to figure that this is the girl he should be with or at least talk to.
"Amber! Hey, I haven't seen you since-well since we threw up on the Yacht together." Alex announces as they share a hug. I definitely have to ask her about that.
"How could I forget how we met?" Amber laughs and now I'm even more curious. Amber looks to me and her smile fades slightly. "Who's this beautiful woman?" She asks Alex.
"This is my friend and coworker, McKayla." Alex introduces me.
"That dress, wow. Kayla you're stunning." She says in awe. I accept my new nickname with reluctance, no one has ever called me Kayla before, well my dad called me Kay. But usually I just get called Mickey. My friends in high school did at least and my mom when I was a kid.
Amber takes us to the area where the drinks are and pours us each something that has a lot of different things in it. The only thing I catch is vodka. She hands it to us and I take a sip. It's actually really good, strong but good. Takes like a mixed berry drink but with vodka
"It's a very berry vodka sour. I made it myself." She informs us and I nod.
"Cute." Alex compliments her. A song comes on and Ambers eyes go wide.
"This is my favorite song! Let's go." She grabs Alex's hand and before I can even follow them they disappear in the crowd. And then I proceed to do my only solution when Alex runs away from me, get very berry drunk.
I laugh to myself about my own joke and swallow down the rest of the drink. I wish Amber was here to make me another one but she's not so I just grab the bottle of blue UV and pour it in my cup.
