As I stand in line at the grocery store, I see a familiar face an aisle away. I want to say it's Edward but this guy doesn't have piercings. He's wearing a long sleeve button up shirt so I can't tell if he has tattoos but Edward only wears t-shirts.
I exit my place in line and decide to look further into it.

"Edward?" I ask the man and he turns to look at me. That's Edward. But why does he look different?

"No." He sighs and I get confused. "I'm Harry." He informs me. Excuse me? He has a twin? But why do I recognize that name? He examines my face and realization hits him before it does me.

"You're McKayla right? The girl from the frat party?" He asks and I tilt my head in confusion. I did go to a frat party a couple weekends ago but I don't remember much about it."

"Umm. Yeah? I guess?" I shrug. "You look just like my boyfriend. I'm confused?"

"We met a couple weeks ago. You know my brother-Edward. You thought I was him back then too." He reminds me and I can't remember that. I remember making out with Edward at that party. That's it.

"Edward is my boyfriend. He's your brother? Twins?" I ask. This is getting more awkward my the second.

"Triplets. Actually." He says and now I remember but just barely. I remember talking to him. He told me about Edward and his other brother Marcel.

"Now I remember." I tell him. "Of course. How have you been?" I ask.

"So you remember me? Do you remember me telling you that you should stay away from Edward?" He asks. And I do.

"And I recall asking you how you knew what was good for me?" I remind him with humor behind it so I don't come across as a bitch.

"Listen. Edward is an asshole. You should really break it off before it gets worse." He admits and I shake my head. Edward and I have been together for almost a month now and it's actually the perfect guy. I don't see how he could be bad at all.

"Edwards quite lovely actually." I tell him, gripping the bar of my cart.

"He's playing you. I'm telling you." He says with aggression. "You look like a nice girl and I don't want Edward to hurt you. You don't deserve that." Why is he so adamant on me leaving Edward? What has Edward done so badly that he thinks I should leave him alone. "I figured he was done doing this shit but clearly he hasn't changed at all."

"Doing what?" I ask, placing an angry hand on my hips. He looks around the aisle that has gained more people.

"Can we talk alone? I'll explain everything." He offers and I shake my head.

"I don't know you." I tell him, turning around.

"You don't understand." He tells me as I walk away from him. I think I do. This guy is jealous of his brother and wants to hurt him and I won't stick around to listen to him.
I go up the open check out lane and start placing my food on the belt.
Once my transaction is complete, I grab my bags and head out to my car but as I leave, I am interrupted by Harry.

"Listen. You're right. You don't know me. But you don't know him the way you think you do." He pushes. I roll my eyes and continue to walk towards my car but he comes with. "Could you please just listen."

"Fine." I sigh as I stop at my car and open my trunk.

"Edward has a history of hurting girls. Since he was in middle school he would ask girls out as a joke or date them as a joke. He did it all through high school too. He would ask girls out and then hurt them badly. And I just don't want him to do it to you." He explains as he helps me out groceries in my car. "I thought once he got older he would stop. I mean, he's 23. The games should end but he won't stop. I think he gets off on it."
The words fill my head and I wonder how if Harry is telling the truth or if he's just saying it spite his brother. If he's telling the truth and Edward is most likely doing all of this for a bet I will be absolutely devastated. I couldn't imagine my Edward doing that to me. The way he holds me at night when he sleeps over or the side glances when he thinks I'm not looking. The way he references books to me.
