What I Wish Happened

Chapter Nineteen

I climb out the shower and slip into some of my favourite black lace underwear, when I hear a knock on the door of my hotel room. I grab my silk robe from the edge of my bed and run to the door, I look through the peep hole and see Leo looking down the hall, I place my hand on the doorknob and loosen my robe slightly so it opens slightly. I open the door and Leo takes a visible deep breath. I step back to let him in; he steps onto the threshold so I he's millimetres from my skin. I take a deep inhale of his scent, he cups my face with his hand and gently kisses my lips, I return the action and he walks me back to the wall across from the door letting his weight press me against the wall. He kicks the door closed and picks me up as I automatically wrap my legs around his waist. He carries me into the bedroom and drops me into the fabric he looks at me as my robe falls down to either side of my body. He climbs on top of me supporting his weight either side of my body and I tug the fabric of his t-shirt upwards and run my hands over the skin on his stomach. Our lips haven't left each other and I am not complaining.

As I lie wrapped in Leo's arms I tug myself out of his grip only for him to tug me back falling back onto his body. I kiss him again, he smiles against my lips as I kiss him. "I've missed you Nova Black." I smile at the name I haven't heard in a very long time. I bury my head into his neck again and wrap my arms around his body. Laying in Leo's arms again makes me more comfortable than I have felt in a very long time.

I lay beside him with my head on his chest and I listen to his breathing, "Ive watched you; I seen you everywhere, I've seen you become the success I've always known you would be. I've watched you create Black Enterprises and I couldn't be any prouder." He smiles and kisses the top of my head, and twirls a strand of my hair around his finger. "I seen you too, I've watched the world fall in love with you the same way I have always loved you and the same way I always will love you. Nova: I have a photo of you on my desk. I look at it everyday. I speak to it to feel like you're still there." I look up at him and run my finger against his stubble, I push myself upwards on the bed and swing my legs either side of him. I lightly press my lips on his, his hands quickly land on my hips.

Our sweet moment quickly ruined by his phone ringing. I climb off and wrap myself in the sheets, he walks over to his jeans and pulls out his phone. "You okay Kaci?" He nods me to this phone and smiles as he looks at me. "I'll be there in a bit. Bye." He slides his legs into his jeans and walks over pressing his lips to my forehead. "I have to go meet Kaci." I nod and sit up "I'll pick you up in half an hour and we will all go out." I nod as smile as he chucks his shirt over his head, kissing me one last time and walking out the door, leaving me in tingles all over.

I jump into my blue jeans with rips at the knees, I pair it with a bluey-grey hoodie with nude ankle boots and a nude baseball cap with rounded sunglasses. I don't go near my makeup and the idea of leaving the hotel room without a heavy face of makeup makes me smile. I hear knocking at the door and make my way over to see Leo and Kaci on the other side, I swing open and let them both in, Kaci runs over to the big wall of window and Leo wraps me in for a hug, and kisses my cheek.

Kaci's smiling at me and Leo as she turns to see us in this position. She skips over and pulls us in for a tight hug. "I love you guys." I smile and squeeze her back. Leo loops his hands in with mine and leads us all through the hall and to the elevator. As we reach the lower floors, I slide my sunglass up my nose and look over to Leo as I wrap my hand around his. We walk out the front door of the hotel and pass the press, they don't take another look at us, we walk down small street after small street until we walk down into a small cobbled lane, with roses and flowers filling the gaps between windows and doors, I look up at Leo as he pulls off my cap and glasses and lets my long hair fall into their natural waves.

I smile as I raise to my tip-toes to press my lips to his. We walk pass a small store full of knick-knack's. I feel drawn towards it. I step in and my senses are overwhelmed by the scent of lavender. The walls are wallpapered with a cream and floral pattern, I walk over to the glass counter in the center of the store and see small antique rings and jewellery. I spot a small silver ring in the center connected to a silver chain, the ring is scratched slightly, it's got carvings into it with flowers and leading to one large diamond and six smaller light blue diamond's circling the large diamond. A beautiful young sales lady walks over to us with her bright red hair flowing in natural tight curls. She spots what I am looking at and pull it out the cabinet, "It was my great grandmothers. She wore it her entire life, it was given to her by her first boyfriend and he told her that when he came back from the war she would wear it and never take it off and until then she would wear it around her neck. He never came back from the war." I place my hand over my heart as it aches for this women. "She never took it off until the day she died. When she gave it to my mother." I pick up the chain and loop it around my hand. "I promised my mother that I wouldn't ever sell it until I found two people that I knew are absolutely perfect for each other even if they didn't know it yet. I hadn't met those people until I saw you two together on stage at your concert and more importantly until I saw you outside." I smile and look up to Leo as he looks down to me. Leo looks over to the young ginger girl and smiles. "How much?" She smile and places it in a velvet box. "For the two of you in love, free." I smile as Leo spins the box on the table and takes out the necklace walking around to stand behind me, clips the chain around my neck and wraps his arms around my waist, "You will always be my Mrs. Black." I spin in his grip and press my forehead against his. I press my lips to his and pull him in tightly into my body. "I love you too."
