I despise those nosy yet propitious girls; them and their damned boyfriends, who, without hesitation, asked him if the proposal rumor was indeed true. Before he answered, his eyes gleamed.
He smiled often. Actually, it was his stamp – a sincere grin. Today, I saw the biggest, happiest smile I've ever seen him wear – right after he confirmed and fulfilled their thirsty curiosities.
Seeing his smile was like winning the battle, but knowing the reason for that smile reminded me of the war I've just lost.
