Everywhere. It couldn't be found. Her diary could not be found anywhere. She had pretty much tore apart her whole room, her whole bag. She even stayed after closing time at Tully's to look for it. It was missing and there was only one man who she could guess had it.
Him.
Without her diary, Madison didn't know how to express how she felt. She was lost without it. And there was a chance he could be reading it right now, laughing at her. Madison couldn't help but think of his chuckles booming as he read every line, every word she wrote.
This was unbearable, just sitting in her bedroom, not able to do anything to stop this fiasco. She couldn't.
That's when she remembered the phone number in the itinerary she kept from the field trip they had four months ago for science class.
It was in her binder. Madison jumped out of her bed, lunging to the blue binder on the floor.
"Number, number, number," She chanted under her breath. As she flipped through the binder, her hopes were thinning. That was until the green paper looked back at her. Madison, in a swift move, grabbed the phone out of her bra and dialed.
It rang.
And rang.
Then rang some more.
"Hello," mumbled a tenor voice. That's when she took the time to look at the clock. 11:34PM.
Crap.
