Sally put a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "Aileana, don't think of this as a punishment. As soon as we figure out what caused it, we'll fix it and things will be normal, alright?" I gave her a smile. "If it keeps you guys safe.. then I'll do it.."

(Sonic POV)

"Are you serious!?" I yelled, stomping my foot and throwing my hands in the air. Sally just told me about Aileana, and I was NOT happy. "Sonic, it's only until we figure out what happened-" I cut Sally off.  "So keeping her guarded is supposed to help!? I spent all night telling her you guys weren't scared or upset, and then you pull THIS on her!?"

"She agreed to it, Sonic." "Yeah! Because she was probably scared of what would happen if she said no!" Sally sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "It's to keep the rest of us safe sonic." "It's messed up Sally. Keeping Shadow on her butt isn't going to help her at all!" I ran out of the room. How could she think having Aileana up her- I stopped in my tracks when I heard a noise. I looked around t my surroundings, realizing I had made my way to Mobotropolis. The sound was clanking metal.

I turned around and saw some of Robuttnik's giant badnicks. I smiled sheepishly and waved. "Hey guys, heh, how's it going?" Next thing I knew i was jumping out of the way of a laser gun. "Welp it was nice seeing ya but I gotta run!" And with that, I ran all the way back to the forest.

(Aileana POV)

It was kind of scary having Shadow with me all the time. He would watch my every move, not speaking to me. He would just stand in the corner of the room. He honestly looked annoyed. It kind of made me feel bad. I sighed as I put my hands in my lap, sitting on the couch next to Mighty. He looked at me and smiled. "What's got you down Aileana?" I looked up at him, then my eyes darted to the corner Shadow was in. Mighty quickly caught on.

"Aw, don't worry kid, it won't last long. Just until Tails figures out what happened." I smiled. Mighty was right. And maybe I could help Tails move things along! I hugged the armadillo, smiling. "Thank you Mighty, I really needed that." I let go and ran out of the room before he got a chance to reply. Shadow followed me easily, but I was too focused on getting to Tails that I didn't care.

I reached the two-tailed fox's lab and knocked on the door. "What are you doing." Shadow said behind me. I turned to him. "If I can help Tails figure out what happened, you won't gave to guard me anymore. And I won't be a burden on you." For a second, his eyes seemed to show something other than hate, but I couldn't tell what it was. His eyes quickly filled back with hate. "Fine, go in. I'll be waiting out here." I quickly smile at him as I walk into the young fox's lab. The door closes behind me, drawing the attention of Tails. He looks at me and smiles. "Hey Aileana! What's up?" I smiled back at him. "Hey Tails, just wanted to come help you." I sat next to him on the desk, he was in his chair.

"Well, I'm working on getting your body to respond to things, but it doesn't look like anything I do is working." I tilted my head as I looked at the glass container in front of us. I could feel a sinking feeling in my gut. I didn't look like anything I've seen since I woke up, but it felt right to see that body. I looked at Tails, shaking my head a little. "Don't you need some sort of mind to be in the body for it to react?" Tails didn't take his mind off of his computer. "That's what I thought too, but then I realized that it still has one." I looked at him in confusion.

He pulled up a blueprint of my current robot body, and a diagram of my 'real' body. "While I was searching for any type of response, I noticed a small wave connection." He pointed to the screen. "You're original body still holds all of it's memories of before meeting Robotnik, while the robot body you're in only holds the memories of after meeting him. The memories around meeting Robotnik are kind of a blur for you, since that's when the transition happened." He used his finger to slide the screen of an x-ray of my real body. "If I can find a way to get these memories to trigger, it's possible that I could get you're body to actually wake up and take your current body's memories and add it to the original."

To say the least, I was astonished. This 8 year old new so much more than anyone, and yet he was stuck trying to fix me. After my silence, Tails looked at me confused and saw my blank face. "What's wrong?" I only put my hand on his shoulder. After a moment, I spoke. "How are you so smart?" Tails's face quickly turned red as his eyes widened a bit. He nervously rubbed the back of his head with a nervous laugh to go with it. "I-I don't know, but thanks for the compliment..." He cleared his throat a bit and got up. "A-any way, since you're here, I thought maybe we could try and do the transfer." I smiled at him and got off the desk. "Sure-" I yelled as a loud ringing reached my ears.

I dropped to my knees and covered my ears, the noise not going away. I couldn't hear anything but the ringing. I felt Tails's hands on me, gently shaking me. My vision started to go red, and I started to feel the urge to kill. And Tails was the only one in the room. I lost control completely.
