It's not long before the next morning arrives. It comes with another clothing disaster on my part. "Botan! Ladies are not supposed to show off their cleavage!" I shout running out of the room, looking around for the blue haired grim reaper. Instead I run into Hiei who was on his way to the kitchen. "God woman, cover yourself!" he shouts, rushing off with a red face.

I smack myself in the face embarrassed. Botan provided me with another set of clothes, but the blouse was really tight and I just couldn't close the top buttons. Why do I have to be blessed with such a mighty chest?

"What's going on here?" Kurama asks as he steps out of his room. "Ack!" I let out before diving into my own before he sees as well. With his 'gentleman attitude', I'm afraid he won't be able to cope with any indecent exposure.

"Kiri? Is there something I can help you with?" he asks through the closed door. "I don't believe so Kurama. Go on ahead, I need to get to Botan's room before more people see me like this." "Okay, if you're sure." he says rather questionably, but walks off anyway.

I check to see if he's gone and finding that the coast is clear, I rush through the hallway with my arms covering my chest. Barging into Botan's room, I'm disappointed when don't find her there. I looked forward to giving her a piece of my mind. "Never mind." I go over to her closet and ransack the place until I find something suitable. Quickly changing I leave the blouse and the mess behind. Serves her right.

After breakfast, they arranged a portal to take us close to Kagome's home. Once there they look up to the stairs curiously. "A shrine?" Kurama asks. I nod. "Kagome's grandfather runs it. Kagome herself is a reincarnation of a priestess that dwells in my time. That's really how it was possible for her to go there in the first place."

"So it took a connection to the past. That's really interesting." comments Kurama. "Who cares. Let's get this over with." Hiei says, looking grumpy. "You can't tell me that you're not excited about the possibility to visit the past." Kurama mocks. "Hn." is all the short demon says before walking up the stairs. Shrugging, we quickly follow after him.

The first one to notice our arrival was Souta who was outside playing with the cat. He gasps, looking relieved. "You're back!"

"Hey kid. Is Kagome here?" I ask. "Yeah, she's in her room, she's been worried sick. Let me go get her." I nod as he runs inside. As we wait, we spot Grandpa taking a peek outside in a suspicious manner before making his way up to us.

"Mmh?" I blink at him as he sizes the two boys up. "Would you boys perhaps..." They look at him curiously, awaiting his question. "Buy some charms?" he asks pulling one out of his sleeve, making the boys fall over.

I roll my eyes, crossing my arms. Typical. "Grandpa! Will you stop doing that?" a voice scolds from the doorway.

I look up to see Kagome who wastes no time in rushing over, pulling me in a tight hug. I gladly return the gesture. "I'm so glad you're alright." she sighs before looking at Hiei and Kurama suspiciously. "Did they do anything to you?" she asks worried. "No, but we do need to talk. Let's go somewhere private." I say gently taking her by the arm.

"So, they can close up the well?" Kagome asks worriedly after hearing what's going on. "That will only be necessary if we find something that could endanger the humans in this time, but from what I gathered from Kiri, you probably won't have anything to worry about. We will try to do this as quick as possible so we can leave you be." Kurama explains to her.

Kagome sighs, not quite reassured. I put my hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry Kagome. I will make sure that things will go smoothly and you know that there is no cause for alarm. There are hardly any threats in my time left now that Naraku's gone. There are only small fry left." She nods. "Your right. There is no reason to close up the well." she says as if to reassure herself of that.

"Then I suggest we get to work and see for ourselves." Hiei says.

Kagome leads us to the well, opening the shed that was built around it. "Well, here it is." Kagome says motioning down into the darkness. I lean against the wall as I watch them take a look at it. "It looks like an ordinary well, just dried up." Kurama states, looking into it.

"Why is it called the Bone Eater's well?" Hiei ask. "They used it to dispose of dead demons and monsters by throwing them in." Kagome explains. "Charming." Hiei mutters.

"So who or what can go through?" Kurama asks Kagome.

"Just me, Inuyasha and whoever or whatever we bring with us. And I never brought anyone that I regretted bringing." she says resolutely.

Kagome and I can do nothing but wait as they investigate further, so we set up to talk. "Kaede asked me to take her place as the village's priestess. She feels that her time is coming." Kagome mentions.

"That means you will stay for the rest of your life. Are you ready for that?" I ask. "I've been thinking about it for a while now. I will graduate soon and after that, I think I will go." she says.

"Inuyasha will be happy to hear that." I tell her. Kagome smiles. "I'll miss my family though, but I'm sure they understand." I nod at this.

She giggles all of a sudden as she looks me over. "What?"

"Modern clothes suit you. I'm surprised." she says, nodding her approval. "Yeah, about that... If one of my brothers see me like this, they'll know I went with you. Have you spoken to them?" I ask. She shakes her head. "I wouldn't be able to lie to Inuyasha. He would have known that I was worried about something and Sesshomaru sees right through me. Telling them nothing seemed like the safest bet." "Sure." I agree.

The guys turn to us, getting our attention. "Well?" I ask. "Other than a minor hint of energy, we can't find anything. So far so good I'd say. If possible, we would like to go to the other side now." Kurama says. I can tell he has trouble hiding his excitement.

I look to Kagome. "It's your call." I tell her. She frowns, knowing she doesn't really have an option. "Alright. Just please don't cause any trouble there." she begs them.

"If nobody bothers me, I won't bother them." Hiei says. "Don't worry Kagome, we'll be discreet." Kurama assures her.

Sighing, Kagome makes her way to the well. "Hold onto each other."

"I'm not holding anybody." Hiei says stubbornly. I smirk at him. "No problem, I'll just hold onto you then." I say before putting him in a headlock. "Let go of me woman!" he yells struggling. "Jeesh, you're slippery." I say as he wiggles loose. I roll my eyes at him as he dusts himself off.

"Come on Hiei. We can't go if you don't cooperate." Kurama urges.

Suddenly I get an idea, taking my sword from my side that I placed there previously. "Hold onto the other end then." I tell him. Nodding, he grips the sheet. Kurama smiles, glad that the idea worked, but is surprised as I put my other hand in his. He in turn holds onto Kagome. "Okay you guys. Don't let go." she says before jumping in, us following quickly.

Soon we are surrounded by the blue swirling lights, making the boys look around curiously. It is only after seconds that we land softly on the ground, a blue sky above us instead of the darkness of the shed. "Here we are." Kagome announce before beginning to crawl up the vines to the top.

I look at Hiei as he stiffens all of a sudden. "What is it?" I ask slightly alarmed. "So much for being discreet." he mumbles staring to the spot beside me.

Curious as to what he means, I look back at Kurama whose hand I was still holding. "Wha! Who the hell are you!?" I scream jumping back as far as the little space allows it, almost knocking Hiei over in the process.

"What's going on?" Kagome yells from above us while I stand there gaping.
