"to our rescue!"

3rd Person View

When they reach the base, they sit down at one of the campfires. "A friend is picking us up here, with his plane. If this is everyone, I think we'll be able to take you guys." Nathan says and he takes a sip of the tea he got, he shivers when he tastes it. Nathan puts the cup of tea on the ground and one of the soldiers laughs. "It's disgusting, but it's all we have."Nathan smiles kindly and warms his hands with the fire. "If that is an option, I think we'd all be more than happy to take it." Another soldier says. Everybody nods and smiles. "To our rescue!" One says and he raises his tea. Nathan, Elena and Cassie do the same. "To your rescue!" they say and everybody laughs. 

When everybody went to sleep, Elena, Nathan and Cassie stayed up a little longer. "DO you think any of the  guys recognized us?" Elena asks and she looks at Nathan, who shrugs. "If they did, they have really good memory and forgave us. But I don't think that's the case." Nathan says and he crawls under one of the sails that the guys found in Shoreline trucks. "We'll know it when Sully and Sam arrive." Elena says and she also lays under a sail. Cassie sighs and lays down, looking at the top of the tent they're in.

In the middle of the night Cassie wakes up and sits up. Cassie looks at her parents and steps out of the tent when she sees they're asleep. Cassie looks around her and sits back by the fire, which is still on. A branch breaks somewhere in the forest and Cassie jumps up. She looks around her and finds a stick on the ground and picks it up, holding it in front of her like a sword. Another branch breaks a bit to her left and she turns to it. A man jumps out of the bushes and aims a pistol at Cassie, who is standing her ground still holding the stick. She laughs when she sees who it is. "Uncle Sam!" She says and she drops the stick, running to Sam and giving him a hug. "Hey Cassie." He says and he looks at her arm. "What happened?" Sam asks and he points at Cassie's arm. "Long story short, it broke when I was in the sea, and I tried to fix it with 'Natural recources'  but that didn't really work out." Cassie says and she smiles. "Where are your parents?" Sam asks and Ahsoka points at the tent. "They're asleep." She says and they walk to the tent. "Well, let's wake them up then." Sam says and he enters the tent. Cassie sticks her head inside and sees Sam kick Nathan's leg, who wakes up and kicks Sam back in reflex. "Ahg Jesus!" San says and he laugh, Nathan smiles and wakes up Elena, who smiles at Sam. "Where's Sully?" She asks getting up from the floor. "We rented a boat, Sully is waiting with it." They all leave the tent and walk into the group of soldiers. Sam takes out his gun but Cassie pushes it back down. "Calm down. they're fine." She says and Sam puts the gun back in its holster. "Is there space on the boat?" One of the soldiers in the back asks. "If this is all of you, there is. San says and all the soldiers look at each other." Guess we're finally going home." an other soldier says. "We can leave now." Sam says and he walks away. Cassie follows him first and then the others.
