I can't believe I loved you

You stood their as your so called boyfriend yelled at you. A single tear rolled down your face.

"Grayson for the last time I didn't cheat on you" you said calmly

"I beg to differ" he huffed 

"I've had it! You know what all you do is yell and scream at me for anything I do! First it was because I came home late from a club then it was because i looked at a guy and now it's because you think I cheated on you because I was hanging out with a guy! Grayson he's fucking gay! How many times do I have to tell you!" You yelled "why don't you trust me?" Your voice cracked 

He scoffed

"Believe you? You think I'm gonna believe you after all you do is lie to me. You know what I'm done! We're done! Leave" his voice was cold 

"W-What" 

"You heard me get your shit and leave"

You walked past him and packed a suitcase tears rolled down your face as you placed the promise ring he gave you on his nightstand. You looked at you- well you looked at your old room before turning the light off, shutting the door and walking back down the stairs. He stood there leaning against the wall staring at you. You opened the front door before saying.

"I can't believe I loved you" 

And shut the door. You hopped in your car and drove away. You started historically crying, so you immediately pulled over to the side of the road. You grabbed your phone and dialled Ethan's number

"Hey!" He exclaimed 

"E-ethan" you sobbed 

"Oh my god are you crying? What's wrong?" He said concerned 

"C-can I s-stay at y-yours?" 

"Yea sure where are you?" 

"I don't know I'm in my car somewhere on cookston road" you said through sniffles 

"Ok I'll find you stay where you are" He ended the call. You dropped your phone on the passenger seat. As you wouldn't stop crying your hands fell on your steering wheel as your head collapsed on your arms.

A soft knock on the window made you lift your head. 

It was ethan. You smiled through tears as you opened the car door. You hugged him as he hugged you back. It was now night time and you were cold. Ethan grabbed your suitcase and phone and put your suitcase in the back of his car he handed you your phone as your head rested on the window.

"What about my car?" You sniffled 

"I'll get someone to pick it up don't worry" he reassured 

He drove to his place. As the ride was filled with silence. A comfortable silence. 

You walked inside his house with your suitcase and walked up the stairs with it 

"You can have the guest room on the right!" He yelled from down stairs 

"Ok!" You yelled back you were too tired to deal with unpacking so you just got a pair of sweats out. You put an oversized jumper on and joggers as you threw your hair in a messy bun. You walked down the stairs to find Ethan sitting on the couch on his phone 

"Thanks for letting me stay" you said sitting on the opposite couch to him. He smiled 

"It's okay"

"Your probably wondering why I'm upset aren't you?"

"Yea" he smiled 

"Let's just say your brother thinks I cheated on him with James"

"Wait but James is gay?" He said confused 

"I know that's exactly what I told him but no he doesn't believe me he kicked me out and dumped me"

"Fuck" he mumbled

"I know" you said sad

"Well you can stay at mine as long as you want hell you can live here!" He exclaimed which made you laugh

"Nah I'll look into buying an apartment or something" You said 

He smiled 

"Can we watch a movie I'm done with crying and being sad" 

"Um hell yea!" 

He put on tangled as you forced him too.

The movie finished and you were tired. 

"Ok I'm going to bed" you said getting off the couch

"Night"

"Night"

You walked up the stairs and did your normal night routine. You slipped into the covers as you ran your fingers around the area where your promise ring was. You let out a whimper as you began to cry your eyelids got heavy and you fell asleep.

You woke up to a loud conversation downstairs 

"Dude leave!" Ethan yelled 

"No! I need to talk to y/n" he said 

"The hell you do! Your the last person she wants to see! She is heartbroken. She was pulled over on the side of the road balling her eyes out all because of you. She is destroyed. She cried herself to sleep last night because you hurt her. I care so much about you bro but I care about y/n too I'm so pissed that you would hurt someone so amazing as her. You told her to leave BOTH of your guys' house. She had nowhere to go she was fucking crying on the side of the road at 10:00 at night. This on you bro. Not her but I refuse to let you see her. She needs time Grayson. Let her heal" he spoke 

"But I need to tell her I'm sorry" he sobbed 

"Grayson the best way to show that your sorry is to give her time ok she's hurting" 

"Do you hate me?" You heard Grayson sob

"Grayson I could never hate you but I'm mad you hurt her dude she's my best friend" 

"Does she hate me?" 

"You told her she cheated on you, you kicked her out when you knew she had nowhere to go bro she could never hate you no matter how mad she could be at you but dude you've broken her"

He sighed. 

"I can't help it ethan you know I can't help but be paranoid " he said heartbroken 

"I know dude but y/n's not like that you know how much she loves you and would never be unfaithful" 

He sighed

"I'm gonna go home"

"Ok dude be safe"

You heard the front door open and close as soft footsteps walked up the stairs. The door opened as Ethan stood their as he saw the single tear roll down your face. 

"Oh y/n" he said as he walked over to you. He wrapped his arms around you as your head fell on his shoulder 

"I can't believe I ever loved him Ethan" you whispered 

"Hey don't say that" he said 

"But it's true he never trusted me"

"Y/n there's a reason he's like that"
