"Bro I'm worried about y/n"

"Why what's up?"

"She just not the same" I said sitting on Ethan's bed

"What do you mean?" He asked shutting his phone off and looking at me

"She's distancing herself away from me and I feel like she's making up excuses as to why she can't hang out with me" I said sad

"Have you upset her?" He asked shrugging his shoulders

"I don't think so"

"Well maybe she's just busy with work you know how she got that new job"

"Yea" I looked down

"I'm worried though" my voice cracked

"Gray don't worry" he smiled at me

"Ethan you don't understand, I've seen bruises on her"  i said sad

His eyes widened

"What?"

"The last time I saw her" I spoke "I was in her room and she went to change her hoodie and as she was taking her jacket off her shirt lifted up slightly and she had a massive bruise on the side of her back, I didn't say anything cause I thought she just fell over or something but" I sighed "I don't know man I'm just worried about her"

"A bruise?" He said still confused

"Yea"

"Bro that's worrying"

"I know"

"Okay just give it another week and if she's still acting the same then we'll go to her house"

"but what if jakes done something to her" my voice broke

"Bro don't jump to conclusions just give it a week okay?"

I nodded my head

He hugged me and I left his room

I went to my bedroom and sat on the edge of my bed, I put my head in my hand and sighed

I'm worried about her

Y/n's p.o.v

I stared at the wall, I was in my own head.

The pastel pink paint covering the cement wall, I noticed every crack and chip of paint missing from the canvas. I wandered my room, making my way to my vanity. I sat there, staring at the girl in the mirror, the girl that was once happy, the girl that used to be content.

I stared, no emotion on my face. I examined my facial features I glared at the dark mark gracefully eating my skin leaving behind a mark of destruction on my neck. I stared at image in the mirror, a frightful presence heading to my bedroom door.

"I'm going out baby" he spoke to me

"Okay" I smiled at him

"Change your top you look awful" his harsh words made me cave inside

"Okay" I repeated "Have a good time"

"Bye" He said before leaving

I looked back at the mirror, before walking to the bench under my window, I grabbed a pillow from the bench and hugged it as I stared out of the glass, watching him drive away. My phone dinged, I glanced at it.

Grayson: hey y/n can we talk?

I shut my phone off, placing it onto the soft blanket beneath me. I rested my head on the wall behind me and let a tear roll down my cheek, the warmth sent a chill down my spine.
