Secret of the Blue Forest (COMPLETED)

Part 9

Soldiers woke up in the morning; they saw that one of them had disappeared in the night. He was on his guard duty. Upon sweeping the area, they found his bloody remains.

Soldier who told the ogre story said.

Soldier: Ogre got him man, I told you they are real.

Another soldier said.

"How do you know? They are not real you fool"

"We have an elf as prisoner, you still think they are not real?"

All soldiers went silent, this could be right.

Elf saw them all and said.

Elf: It was a beast.

Captain asked: Which beast?

Elf: Whose growl you heard near the pond.

Captain: How do you know?

Elf: four days ago, two men came in the forest and got attacked by this beast. Beast tasted human flesh now it wants this new taste again.

Captain: It could be forest dogs.

Elf: Only that beast is big enough to silently take a man away.

Captain started thinking. Soldiers started finding eatable things for breakfast. Captain ordered one soldier to climb a high tree and look for any sign which could tell in which direction they are going.

Soldier climbed the tree and after returning he said that he could see the mountains to the right side.

Mountains mean grassy plains. Captain got relaxed because at least he knew now in which direction they had to move. Soldiers gathered much kind of fruits; they untied the elf so she could eat too. They all started eating. After eating they went through their morning routines. Elf was given a little privacy between two rocks but rock was surrounded. After that they tied her up and started walking to their right side. Soldier told captain that it looked like two days journey. They kept walking.

In grassy plains, Lord Philip was informed that his soldiers have not returned yet. He was mocked by Lord Artis and was very angry. He ordered Ludik to form a party and go up to the mountains. Lord Artis advised him to not to send his man but Philip did not listened and ordered Ludik to go. Lord Artis ordered Jonald to go with them. Jonald and Ludik formed a party of eight men including them. They wanted to move fast and move silently. Ludik wanted someone who knew the mountain. He believed that navigation plays a big part in a mission. Jonald tried to find someone but no one went up to the mountains. Jonald asked his soldiers to find Rio. He knew that one time Rio followed a thief up there. Now they were waiting for soldiers to return.

Ludik: Tell me, why a paid killer would catch a thief?

Jonald: A thief stole Lord Henry's crown, he once came into the market and when he got off his horse, his crown fell off and a thief picked it up and started running. Soldiers could not get him and they lost him in the crowd of market.

Ludik: So Henry put a handsome reward?

Jonald: Yup, we swept the valley, could not find him. Two days later, Rio showed up with the crown. We asked him where he found it, he told us that he tracked down the thief but before he could get him he rode away. Whole valley was looking for him so he rode to the mountains. Rio was behind him.

Ludik: So he kept going up?

Jonald: Well when death is behind you, you try everything to stop it in any way possible.

Soldiers came back and told them that Rio is in his house and refuse to come with them. Jonald and Ludik saddled up and went to his house. They got off of their horses in front of his house, Jonald kicked the door open and they both went in. A sword came right for them. They both moved from their places and sword missed. They saw Rio shirtless and holding the sword.
