Secret of the Blue Forest (COMPLETED)

Part 10

Jonald and ludik were riding with their men, Rio was riding beside them and they just reached

mountains. They past the patrols appointed from Lord Artis and after seeing Jonald they allowed to go forward. After a while of riding in the stony passage way, they started ride on the way leading up to the mountain. They could only hear their horses' breath and sound of their hooves hitting the ground. Trees and bushes were covering all ground around them. Wind was howling and started to get colder. No one was talking bedsides ludik and Jonald; they were getting along just fine. Their voices and laughs were echoing in the mountains. Rio was leading the way and he sometimes look back at them. He was keeping a very sharp eye around his surroundings. Ludik was telling Jonald about Lord Philip and him when they got in a quarrel and Lord Philip two men with his bare hands. Rio listened and said.

Rio: I don't believe it.

Ludik; Excuse me?

Rio: Lord Philip is a great warrior but killing two men with bare hands between a fight with seven men. Really?

Ludik: He punched one man in the neck, his neck broke. That's one then he banged one man's head on the stone bench so hard that his head got crushed. I have seen it with my own eyes boy.

Rio: Who said I think you are telling the truth.

Jonald sensed that situation might go out of hands so he interrupted.

Jonald: Ludik speaks truth, he is a great warrior too.

Ludik: He would not know, there is a difference between a warrior and a coward in the shadows.

Rio just laughed and kept on going. Jonald took a breath of relief. They kept riding till night and it was the coldest night any of them ever have spent. In the morning, they started riding again, now the way or signs of way which they were following, they disappeared and now they were depending on Rio.

Rio leads them and they rode till night. All day they kept their eyes on the surroundings but nothing unusual happened. They rode the next full day and all they found were some bones. They could not tell that if they were killed by an attack or froze to death. At noon they had to leave their horses because they could not go more up so they kept on going on foot, Cold was increasing every minute they rode towards the top. At after noon they reached the top. Jonald looked back towards the grassy plains and he was stunned by the beauty of it. He could see all the grassy plains also the Vastness of Blue Forest. Ludik tapped his shoulder and walked towards the other end. From there, they saw brown wasteland. As far as their eyes could see, there was just wasteland with some mountains in middle. They could see terrain and it was telling them that there is no good life there or maybe there is no life at all. They started to look around; on the top they did not find anything. They came back from the top and found a level surface to make camp; they investigated area but could not find anything there too. They made the camp. There was still one or two hours left in the sunset. Jonald saw Rio standing on the side and looking at the wasteland. Jonald walked up to him and Rio said.

"If you keep walking, from this side you can reach those wastelands and if you walk to our right side you can find your way to another mountain. One day walk maximum. My father told me that that mountain is full of natural caves."

Jonald looked at the right side and said.

"We do not have time to investigate those caves, food and water will run out"

Ludik joined them and said.

Ludik: Where did you catch that thief boy?"

Rio: We are near the top, I caught him in the middle.
