Red was hung over, he woke up at noon. Troll was not in the room. Red stood up and walked out. He took a bath. He came to dining room and asked for breakfast. Then he asked for wine. He sat there drinking for two hours. He threw up a couple of times. Servants cleaned up. All of a sudden Brett entered with his two body guards. Red looked at him. Looked like they were riding. Brett was angry. He came in and kicked a chair. Bryte yelled
"Bring wine"
Servants quickly sat up the table. Brett was sitting in anger. Red poured wine for him. Brett drank the whole glass in one gulp. Red poured up again. Brett did it again. Red poured again. Bryte said
"Easy Brett"
Brett asked Red instead of answering Bryte
"Where were you last night?"
"In my room, drank too much"
"Why were you drinking that much?"
"I was bored and had nothing to do. We have not invaded any valley in so many days"
"Why didn't you tell me that Elf could fight?"
Red took a sip and spoke
"She lived her life in Blue forest, she knows how to fight"
Brett yelled
"Get me some food"
Servants started serving food. They stayed quiet for a bit. Red asked
"Something happened?"
Brett said
"Renald is dead"
"Dead?"
"Yes, neck was slashed"
"How?"
"We do not know, Elf was in chains and chains were in bed"
"May be Renald took them off to enjoy the night with freedom"
Bryte laughed a little and Brett gave him a cold look. Bryte stopped.
"Renald's cloths were still on"
"May be Elf honey trapped him and made him believe that she is not going to do anything stupid"
Brett nodded
"I knew Renald since child hood, he was one of my best friends. I knew that he could not handle the Elf but still I gave her to him"
Red took a sip and said
"Well revenge is in your hands, cut her head off"
"She ran away in the night"
Red's hand stopped.
"Out of the castle, through the guards?"
"Yes, we went looking for her and swiped all the area but no luck"
"You know she is the key to contact the Balance, if she gets away then they will get help from the elves."
Brett was eating and said nothing. Red kept on drinking. Brett spoke again
"Adlard does not know anything, we will keep him in dark"
Red kept on sipping. Brett looked at him and said
"Keep the wine at bay, you are riding today"
"Me?"
"yes"
"Why?"
"You have to go after her, you have seen where she lives. She must not contact the Balance"
