Secret of the Blue Forest (COMPLETED)

Part 14

Lord Artis was at the back door of his castle. He had ten men with him and they all were wearing black leather armors to be stealthy. They traveled silently and secretly to reach his castle at midnight and now there was only one problem which was that there were around ten guards at the backdoor. This must be Brett being cautious because backdoor never had that many guards. Now Lord Artis had to find a way to get into the castle silently. A straight fight was not a option and it could attract attention. One of the guards started to walk towards the bushes in which they were hiding. Lord Artis signal one his men to take out his dagger but when tat guard came close, he whispered

"Lord Artis, Lord Artis"

Lord Artis got confused and said

"Who are YOU?"

"I was sent by Lord Clive, we have the control of the gate, and he told us where you would be to ease your entrance"

Lord Artis came out and recognized the guard, he was a soldier at Lord Clive's castle. They all walked to the gates and saw the same faces they saw at Lord Clive's castle. They entered the castle silently and now they were twenty in numbers. Lord Artis sent five men to shut the main door and five to kill Brett's bodyguards. He left five to guard the back door and took five with him to his bedroom. Lord Clive told him that Brett is using his bedroom. They walked through hallways to his bedroom and they heard clanking of swords and yelling from the front door. Somebody woke up or saw the five men sent by Lord Artis. They ran towards the bedroom and two men kicked the door open and entered. Head of one got cut clean off while the other one got stabbed in the heart. Lord Artis saw Brett standing in the room with many soldiers. They started fighting but door was little to any of them to come out or get in without getting killed. Suddenly some soldiers rushed in from the right side of the hallway and Lord Artis started fighting on that side with three of his men supporting him. Lord Clive's men fell back and Lord Artis retreated in the hallway. Now Soldiers came out of the Bedroom too. They heard footsteps behind and saw some more soldiers, now Lord Artis was surrounded with two men. Brett came out of the bedroom and Lord Artis looked at him with anger and hate. He wanted to kill him and had no mercy in his heart for him. All of a sudden Soldiers on the left side started falling and from behind came the guards who were left to guard the back door. Lord Artis went full retreat and ran towards them. All soldiers followed them. They threw armors and every decorative thing down to slow the soldiers. As soon they got out, guards threw two oil barrels in the gate and other one threw a torch. Barrels were filled with oil and it caught fire quickly which took in many enemy soldiers running in the front. It was the backup plan guards came up with and it truly saved their lives. Lord Artis and remaining men went running straight into the bushes where Horses were left. They got on the horses and started riding full speed. Clearly someone told Brett of their coming. Lord Artis knew that riders will be sent after them. They kept on riding.

In the morning, Brett was having breakfast and Red entered, Brett said

"Good morning, how was your sleep last night?"

"Not good, people were fighting in the hallways"

"That was an assassination attempt by my father"

"Very good, can I ask you something?"

Red sat on a chair and asked

"What is in the dungeon?"

"what do you mean?"

"I mean i see soldiers taking goats in there your slaughter house in there?"

Brett laughed and said

"There stays my special guests, Atlan sent them "

"Why dungeon?"
"You will know when you see them?"
