Secret of the Blue Forest (COMPLETED)

Part 15

Brett was talking to Red and his generals, he was briefing them what to do next but Red was thinking about something else. He remembers a blur vision. Elf standing with her sword but not hitting him and how the sunshine was lighting up her face.. Then he started thinking about the night he heard her saying to max that she lives in the forest. Red thought that if she lives here that means she is behind the missings. Then he remember the next morning when sun came up and he saw her pointy ears. His hand started rotating his dagger between his fingers. He started to recall the time that he spent with her on her tree but got interrupted by Brett. He was ending the meeting and saying something to him.

"Any questions?"

Red did not hear anything but he said.

"NO"

"So get his kids and wife from the prison and release them with horses"

"Why?"

Everybody looked at him.
"I just explained it, we release them, this will take some heat off of us so we can first stable this valley"

Red stood up and walked to prison, he took two soldiers with him. They took both kids out and Red took their mother out. Lord Nigel asked from his cell.

"Where you taking them?"

Red said nothing so a soldier replied.

"They are getting released"
Lord Nigel's wife came out, looked Red in his eyes and spoke.

"You will be punished for what you did to my daughter"

Red looked at her and pushed her in front of Lord Nigel's cell along with his kids. He stood behind them.

Lord Nigel spoke

"She is a mother, she is  mourning. just let them go"

Red replied

"As a mother she is not mourning enough"

One of the kids came to the bars and held Lord Nigel's hand. Their Oldest son saw Red's eyes and suddenly realized something. He came to the bars and said.

"Don't you touch her, i will kill you"

Red laughed and said

"I will not touch her"

Then he walked up to Lord Nigel holding his kid's hand and said

"Family turns a man into a coward"

He took his sword out and before anyone could understand anything, he drove it through his kid's chest. Their mother sat down while yelling and crying. Lord Nigel started yelling at him. He was still holding his dying son's hand whose body was shaking and spilling blood. Red sheathed his sword and said

"Now she will mourn properly"

He walked back leaving them all. Soldiers took the mother and one remaining son out. gave them horses and released them. Brett was informed of this situation, he did not want to argue with Red but his friend asked him to ask for the reason. Brett came into Red's room. Red was laying in bed. Brett asked him.

"I heard what you did in prison"

"and?"

"a kid?"

"yes"

"May i know the reason?"

"Lords will think twice before going up against you"

"How?"

"That woman would go to other lords or anyone let's say your father who want other lords to go against you would be using her to get sympathy. But now she will not do it, she will remember when she tried to talk back and lost a kid."
