ℂ𝕙𝕒𝕡𝕥𝕖𝕣 5

"Brennen?" I whispered as I walked through the darkness, the flashlight lighting my way. I heard some groaning from a direction, and I decided to head there.
I shown my light around until I found Brennen. "Brennen!" I said panicking before I ran over to him. He was all bloody and had scratches all over him. It looked really bad and he seemed to be very weak.

I crouched down beside him and his eyes looked very dim colored. I stood up and grabbed my flashlight before running around. I need to find the three vampires. I know it's stupid, but they're the only ones who can help Brennen.

"H-hello? J-Jake? Please help! B-Brennen, he-he needs help!" I said panicked as I shown my light around, desperately looking for them. I saw three pairs of red eyes, appear.

The three vampires appeared in front of me, causing me to back away slightly. "What do you mean 'he needs help'? What did you do?!" The one with the earring said as he walked over to me, his eyes glowing darker.

"I-i didn't d-do anything. I f-found him o-on the ground. H-he's hurt." I stuttered in fear.

I ran back to Brennen, as they showed up seconds later. "Damon." Jake growled as frowned. "P-please h-help him." I said pleadingly. "We want something in return." The man bun guy said.

"Your friend is harmed and you want something in return?!" I yelled slightly. They could eat me in a split second, so I have to keep it cool for a while. They shrugged and disappeared.

'No no no no no no.' I said in my head. "Okay! Okay, what do you want?!" I asked as I looked around for them. "Blood. We want some of your sweet.. sweet blood." Jake said as he licked his lips and appeared behind me. Brennen was running out of time.

"Okay! I'll give you some of my blood, but please save him!" I pleaded. They pulled me away from Brennen and crouched down next to him.

They did some things I refuse to say but let me tell you, it was horrifying. They were finally done, and Bremen looked very weak.

"He may need some of your blood." The one with the earring said. "W-why?" "It gives him energy and strength." He said simply. I walked over and he grabbed my wrist before digging his nail into it. He brought it towards Bremen's mouth, as he took some in.

Now for the part I've been dreading the most. My blood.

"How do I know you won't kill me instantly?" I said scared. "You mean something to Brennen. More than you think. We wouldn't do that to him." The one with man bun said.

"O-okay. P-please d-don't take a lot." I stuttered as I pulled my hoodie down to expose my neck more. In a second, Jake was next to me. "Don't stress. Blood will flow more." He whispered, trying to calm me down.

His eyes turned into swirls of colors, before he bit down. He sucked for a few seconds, before disappearing into thin air. The guy with the earring was the last one left since we already did man bun.

His eyes filled with hunger, causing me to shake slightly. He shot out his fangs, before digging them into my flesh. I don't even know how I'm still alive.

I fell limp from exhaustion and weakness, but he caught me and walked away with me. He placed me near a passed out Brennen and disappeared with the rest.

I woke up to an arm wrapped around me and- Wait What?! I turned to my right and realized it was Brennen. I gently moved his bruised and cold arm from around my waist and rubbed my face.

'Was he cuddling me?' I thought to myself. That's cute. Brennen seems more... lively, you could say, these few days. 'Am I affecting him?' I thought again. There's no way.

I shook the thought and stood up, when I heard a few flaps of wings and saw three bats flying around. They suddenly shifted into the vampires. They grabbed Brennen and disappeared, when I heard a few barks.

Guard dogs. I grabbed my bag, and jumped off the wall, before heading back home, thankfully not caught.

The only thought, stuck in my mind was 'Am I affecting him in a way?'
