ℂ𝕙𝕒𝕡𝕥𝕖𝕣 20

It was currently night time and we had to find another place to stay in. It was now only me, Brennen, Jake and Corey.

I've healed and been feeling physically better, usually getting random pains at times though. "Am I human?" I asked randomly as it came to mind. "I suppose?" Jake said unsure.

"I never knew exploring would change my life fully." I said again. "Can you stop talking?!" Jake asked annoyed and I pouted.

Everyone groaned from exhaustion, for we were walking for miles. They turned into bats and stood on my shoulders as I continued walking.

I chuckled when Brennen pushed Corey off and Corey squeaked profanities. I gently grabbed him and put him in the pocket of my shirt before petting his head. I heard the sirens of a police car zooming close buy so I put up my hood.

I opened my jacket and Brennen, Jake, and Corey flew in. The car parked behind me and I heard the speaker turn on. "Hold up!" The officer said through the speaker. I stopped walking and gulped. I heard the car doors open and footsteps walking towards me.

"What's your name?" One of the officers asked. I slowly turned around and said "Colby Brock. Have I done anything wrong? I was just roaming through the streets." I said innocently as I lowered my hood.

"We're gonna have to pat you down. Do you have a problem with that?" The second officer asked as he raised an eyebrow. "Go ahead." I said as I raised my hands.

I hoped the little creatures hiding in my jacket would get out before they raise the officers' doubts about me. One of the officers approached me as the other stayed back watching my every move.

I'm still confused of why all this is happening though. The officer started from my feet, up my legs, sides, oddly my ass until her reached my pocket. He pulled out my phone and pat the pocket again before placing it back in. He continued patting me up my chest and finally my arms.

They didn't find Corey, Jake and Brennen so I assumed they escaped.

"Am I armed?" I asked slightly annoyed. "Let's go. It's not him." The officer ignored me before he grunted and walked back to the cop car.

They got in and drove past me. 'What the hell?' I thought to myself as I shook my head. I continued walking, and I assumed the others'll catch up with me after, so I didn't bother looking.

I found an abandoned mansion, slightly similar to a castle and decided to settle there. I took out my flashlight and clicked it on before putting it in my mouth. I hopped over the fence and looked around until I found a broken window.

I climbed in and shone the light around as I observed the place. It had one of those very old looking chandeliers, the ones that are hung up by chains and there were two staircases on either side, leading up to a half floor, that had old looking railings.

Weird looking paintings were either painted or carved onto the walls and the ceiling. I kept looking around until I heard small flaps and Brennen appear behind me. "Brennen are you okay?" I asked worried as he didn't look like himself.

He looked off. His eyes were a sharp grey and his nails were popping out. "Brennen?" I asked again but he didn't reply. He disappeared in seconds and suddenly I was strangled from behind.

"Brennen!" I said as I tried prying him away. His grip on me tightened and I couldn't get out. I heard slow clapping before a man with similar grey eyes appeared. "Good job." He said to Brennen laughing.

I looked around confused and slightly frightened as I gulp. The man walked towards us and ran his snake like tongue across my face as I turned my head away from him. "Brennen what are you doing?!" I said as I struggled again.

"He won't listen to you. He's under my control." The man said smirking as his eyes turned into swirling colors. I looked away from his eyes and closed them tightly. "Come on, take a sneak peak. Look into my eyes." He said darkly as he grabbed my chin.

I kept my eyes closed and moved away again. "No." I said and he hissed. "Look into my eyes Cole. Look into my eyes." He whispered again and I had the urge to do so. "Don't look Colby!" I heard Jake's voice say.

I felt the being get ripped away from me and Corey say "Whatever you do, don't look into the eyes!" I stomped on Brennen's foot and elbowed him in the stomach causing him to let me go and I stumbled away.

I ran towards the staircase as Jake and Corey fight grey eyes. Suddenly, my leg was caught and I fell face first. I looked down and saw Brennen smirking darkly. I kicked him and ran the other way, when I realized the other staircase was broken.

I backed away from Brennen, my lower back hitting the railing as I raise my hands in defense. "Brennen snap out of it!" I yelled and slapped him across the face. He growled and grabbed me for hanging me over a long fall.

He let me go and I fell slightly until I caught the edge. The being made a motion with his hand and the ground turned into sharp spikes beneath me. I looked down in fear then back up pleadingly as I look into Brennen's eyes.

His eyes turned a flash of green and a small spark appeared in his eyes. His eyes turned back to grey and he pushed my hand. The world felt like slow motion as I fall. I closed my eyes tight when I felt nothing.

Am I dead?

I snapped back into reality once fear and plead filled Colby's blue eyes as he hung from the edge. I tried fighting the force put on me but it was no use.

Night terrors are strong beings who have the power to hypnotize or turner their target into stone. I got attacked once we split up to search the area and he hypnotized me into ending Colby.

The force took over my body and I removed Colby's grasp off the edge. He fell and closed his eyes tightly, accepting his death. "No!" I yelled as I regained my control. I jumped off the edge and caught Colby.

I wrapped my self around him as we hit the ground hard, missing the spikes.

We hit the ground hard as Brennen wrapped himself around me protectively, softening my landing. Corey slit the chain holding the chandelier and it landed over the intruder, blood going everywhere.

I looked into Brennen's green eyes as he hovers above me. He opened his mouth to say something but he didn't. We still lay on the ground as I study his features. Green sparkling eyes, beautiful lips and soft cold hands wrapped around my back.

I think I've fallen in love with a vampire..
