I jolted awake to iron clattering on the ground, causing me to fall off the appallingly made bed. I grabbed a random stick I found on the filthy ground and stood up cautiously.

Brennen and the others haven't appeared yet so I assume they're waiting until something actually happens. I heard slight but quick footsteps and snapped my head in the direction.

"W-who's there?" I asked as I walk around slowly. I kept roaming until I felt an unwanted presence behind me. I swung the metal stick at the being, but it was caught and snatched away from me.

He threw it to the side, a clattering sound echoing through the warehouse/factory. I was about to charge the being but it wasn't there. So it's really quick and sneaky. I squinted through the darkness as I ready myself for any sort of harassment or attack that would come towards me.

Suddenly, I was flung to the wall. I hit the wall with an 'oof' sound as my breath was knocked out of me. I tried escaping, when I was pinned to the wall, a cold metal pressed against my throat.

A bright flash of what I assume is a phone was pointed towards me. After confirming I wasn't a vampire, he as it seems, stuffed the phone in his pocket and slowly let go of me, still keeping the knife pointed at me.

I raised my hands in the air, as fear overcomes my emotions. "W-What do you want from me?" I stuttered. He quickly grabbed my wrist and made a small cut on my forearm causing me to cry in slight pain. "You're human.." the being stated and let go of my arm.

"Who are you?" I asked, though I feared his response. He removed his mask and shown the light on his face.

"Hey little bro." He said smiling and my eyes widened.

"G-Gage?" I asked stunned..

I stand in front of Gage protectively as Jake, Corey and Bryce approach us. "How do you expect us to 'welcome' him when he abandoned you?!" Brennen said in fury as he pushed past a growling Jake and Corey.

"He's my brother! My family!" I retorted, almost yelling. "He left you like nothing! Nothing!" Brennen said as he walked closer to me. "I-I was forced too. I'm truly sorry Colby." Gage said guiltily.

"He can't be trusted! There's a bad vibe radiating from him." Bryce said and walked towards us. He pushed me away and Corey and Jake hold me back.

His long nails popped out and he walked towards Gage. "Bryce no!" I yelled as I struggled. "Brennen please stop him! Gage's all I have!" I plead as I looked at him with tear filled eyes.

"NO!" I screamed as Gage's body went limp and a pool of blood flooded around him. "It's not him." Bryce said after a while as he stared at the limp body. "What?" I said in tears as I was now on my knees.

"It's not him. It's a shapeshifter." Bryce repeated as he crouched down and peeled off the skin of the body, sticky saliva looking slime and blood stuck all over it.

"Then where's Gage?" I asked and stood up weakly. "No where specific but that's not important right now." Bryce said. "Damon's plan on getting to you is really starting piss me off." Corey muttered to me.
