say consciousness is not just in the head
but absolutely everywhere around it
a seeping fabric of the universe
so to speak, ethereal substance
intelligence is the square patch of this quilt
in which the matter aspect is weaved distinctly
as a design of vibrant network
the more complex this construct
the less the underlying mind is abstract
a crystal lattice of stone - quite simple in organization
this being must also have a mind of equal measure
but what a skill it took to fabricate a living brain!
therefore, we're thinking, feeling, sensing
and so we're vain
yet now the quilt is folded and sewn together
into voluminous petals of a flower
the patchwork linked itself becomes a unit
and consciousness has just burst through
one more dimension
